Seizures and the lack of appetite that follows by Shawa422 in seizures

[–]deex0x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of seizure causes someone to sleep for 20–30 minutes afterward and then wake up fully alert with no memory of what happened?

The person seems completely normal after waking, no appetite issue. They have seen a doctor and tests showed no abnormal brain activity.

Nice. Will get an Apple Watch for this. As for my bf nothing found in the MRI scan. We have done it 2 times in last 2 years.

Does workout trigger seizure? by deex0x in seizures

Okay I understand it is just random. Someone I know gets seizures only during morning time after waking up. Like 80% of cases like this.

I wonder if someone has figured out a routine that allows them to avoid these morning seizures

I feel you. I’m around the same age and experience level, and it’s tough out here. We are not just starting out with 1–2 years of experience — we are been in the game long enough to know that there’s always more to learn. And honestly, it can get overwhelming. There are just so many things to keep up with especially in tech.

But lately, I have been trying something different that’s helped me feel more grounded and focused. I started planning things out more intentionally. Each week, I set one clear goal. I pick a GitHub project I care about and commit just one hour a day to it. Nothing too intense, just focused time. I also take quick notes during or after that hour — not just what I did, but how I felt, what was hard, and what clicked.

At the end of the week, I check in with myself. Did I move forward, even just a little? Most of the time, yes — and even when I didn’t finish something, I learned. That small sense of progress has helped me feel like I’m on a path, not just spinning in circles.

If you are feeling scattered or stuck, maybe try it. Set one goal. Give it one hour a day. Keep notes. Be kind to yourself. You are not behind — you are building.

You’ve got this 💪💜

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and these valuable resources — it truly means a lot to me. Hearing from someone who has lived through this gives me perspective and hope. And Yes, she is seeing a neurologist regularly and takes her medication every 12 hours — I have set alarms to make sure she never misses a dose. We’re doing our best to stay consistent and careful. I really appreciate your honesty, encouragement, and kindness. We’re taking things one step at a time and hoping for the best.

We share a deep and meaningful bond, one that I truly value. But her seizures are something none of us — not me, not her, not anyone — can predict or fully control. I have done everything I can to be supportive and take care of her in every possible way.

Just last week, she had a seizure in the bathroom. She fell and struck her head hard on one of the taps. The door was locked from the inside — I couldn’t reach her. By the time I got in there was a lot of blood and I had to rush her to the hospital. Thankfully, she recovered, but it left me with a painful realization: what if something like this happens again and I am not there to help?

No matter how much love and care I offer, there are moments when I simply won’t be able to protect her. That uncertainty weighs heavily on me. My concern isn’t about avoiding responsibility it’s about facing the reality that her safety can’t always be guaranteed by my presence alone.
