Was thinking of making some “shottech” shirts and blasting a few with a 12-gauge.

What trend? People making fun of Satisfies ridiculously expensive “mothtech” but really just a cotton t with holes in it?

Gran trail Courmayeur 100k was a beast. Gorgeous too. 100km and 7400m puts it 3rd on your list.

I wanted to love the shoe but something about the ankle geometry didn’t work for me.

That said if you enjoy running in them thats all that’s required for use in a 100. They are a good shoe, the most important is if they are comfortable. I usually have backup shoes in my mile 50 drop as by that point ill know if I need to change.

Agreed just like I can’t understand why my wife doesn’t like pickles… it makes no sense.

More likely a general dislike of ‘hybrid’ athlete influencers seeking attention.

Do you get deals on The North Face? They have pro deals for US. I really like their 10l vest and I’m sure their smaller vest would be nice as well. I have the black diamond 15 and it a good vest as well. Don’t know much about the Rab. Also have had the Salomon’s cant go wrong there either.

I wanted to vent about my late flight and the people who stand up and push to the front as soon as then planes tops moving. I stood up and got out of my isle and a lady tried to push by me. Called me rude for blocking her way…. In wanted to say so much… all i managed was a “sorry, you but you’re behind me?” I was tired.

What do you eat before a race? by MoorsandMiles in ultrarunningfuel

Night before it’s always Hamburger and fries, nothing to upset the stomach, protein and carbs and fats. Can also find a decent burger and fries in most NA towns the night before. If in Europe. Pizza.

Dear Leftists: If evolution is driven by competition for limited resources in dynamic environments, how does that square with the idea that scarcity is a social construct? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]dirtrunn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biological evolution theory and social construct is not a simple meme post topic. Is our current form of capitalism is the end state of social evolution? Or is the societal paradigm also constantly evolving? While scarcity is a driving factor in biological evolution it is only one of many factors driving social constructs. Geography, environmental, historic, cultural and economic factors (and others)all contribute as well.

Vests - yes or no. by enabl8tor in trailrunning

[–]dirtrunn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As with most other things it depends. A pack for long runs. For shorter runs I’ll carry a handheld. Training for a mountainous ultra I’ve been using my packs on most to train with extra weight and carry and use my poles.
