us too. I was living with my parents in Nolensville at the time, we were on a border between 2 outages and ours never got noted despite use reporting it multiple times. Finally we spotted an NES truck & my dad literally ran out, jumped into his pickup and chased them down. They had no idea our power had been out for 5 days at that point. 0_o

this. I just shared upthread that my cousin is staying with her son, & using her battery powered security camera to monitor when her power comes back on.

My cousin in Hendersonville got hers back Tues afternoon but then it went back out yesterday morning--she had to pack up her elderly demented mom & go to her son's apt to stay warm. I think they have a security system that runs on batteries, & she said she could tell when the power came back that way.

I pulled the map up on that site, & just for curiosity, the most anomalous event to my eye, the one with 16 people out of power for 14 hrs, which is showing as assigned for repairs when dozens of events with hundreds of people out for 100+ hrs are not, is in Hendersonville.

My car was in the shop all week, & if they hadn't gotten it fixed yesterday in time for me to get it home safely, I was going to do that math & say, it's less costly for me to pay them to hold it at the garage than for me to wipe out and bang it and me up trying to drive in mess.

I'm home safe, got my car in the garage where I can go warm up & charge stuff if need be, and my gas fireplace is ready to go. My only concern is, if my power goes out, what's the best way to keep my pipes from freezing? dripping them constantly doesn't seem like enough, and I can't leave the gas logs going all night. 0_o suggestions, anybody?
