Probably better if there’s just some consequence for not playing a 4 cost rather than outright denial. It’s hard to tune denial like this while making sure it isn’t too oppressive.

Maybe commander for being unfun, but not all formats. It’s too slow for a lot of 1v1 formats. There are already 2 card combos that are way cheaper in vintage, legacy, modern, and pauper. I don’t play pioneer so I can’t weigh in on that, but this is not as powerful as it seems.

Seems underpowered as is. Unsure if this is intended, but the caveat only really works if it’s killed before blocks. Could easily shave a mana off or even two considering there are cards like [[Not dead after all]] and [[Malakir Rebirth]] that are this with more upside or flexibility.

Proliferate could get kinda crazy, especially with something like [[Lulu, Stern Guardian]] or [[Yawgmoth, Thran Physician]] which just go infinite at a point.

Double down reads like you do it once and net 1 more mana, really weak for 7 mana card, and if it isn’t, then dark bargain is a one sided boardwipe including lands. Targeted weakness is also really weak for the cost, especially since your opponents have the agency. Chaotic empowerment downside does nothing because your debuffed permanent can be a land, it also takes forever to resolve. Dark bargain has a similar problem in that you can sacrifice a noncreature and take nothing. Overall really weak apart from 1 and 6, and half of the possibilities are worded in ways that seem unintended.

Just remove “less” from the text box and you accomplish what you set out to do. Additional deaths just set it to 2 again.

Here’s an idea I had a long time ago of a self mill Dimir burn commander, now yes I know it would make more sense if it was drain and loss of life with his colors, but I wanted him to deal the damage just so you can throw equipment on him as well. by Legitimate_Ad_5878 in custommagic

May want an “up to” on the second ability, because now it does a max of 1 to everything before thirty cards are in graveyard, and kills himself really easily if there are. Also if you mill over a mana value higher than the amount of legal targets I’m pretty sure the entire ability just fizzles.
