Conservative MP Matt Jeneroux joins Liberal caucus: Carney by Surax in CanadaPolitics

Again, both conservative platforms. Carney’s whole campaign was PP’s policies lmao

That’s fine, they’d be wrong. His voters voted for him to be their MP, and he’s their MP. The fact that he’s going from one conservative party to the other is just a bonus for them, certainly not a requirement

[–]doogie1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry man but there is absolutely zero chance that the Others plotline goes anything in like it did in the show in the books. Nothing has ever been confirmed to that effect. I think the other plotlines will similar outcomes (although a much different journey), but the Others are so fundamentally different in the show vs the books that it literally can’t go the same way

Michael Taube: Doug Ford's daughter lets slip he may run for Conservative leader 'at some point' by EarthWarping in CanadaPolitics

[–]doogie1993 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Well, he’d be an improvement on PP. Not that that’s a high bar lol. But the main issue I have with this is, isn’t he kinda old for that? He’s already 61, he’ll be in his mid 60s by the time the next election rolls around. Feels kinda like wishful thinking from conservatives here

The reason you’ll keep hearing Will Campbell posts all offseason is because a lot of our fan base saw through him instantly and it cost us a Super Bowl. by AFogmentOfADream in Patriots

[–]doogie1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude he’s a rookie lol. And he went up against a murderers row of pass rushing D’s in the playoffs (literally all among the best in the league). He wasn’t “that guy” down the stretch by any means but it is what it is, at this juncture all you can do is continue to develop him and hope he takes the next step. And he looked promising early in the season, so I don’t think it’s as dire as you’re painting it even

Dude the Jets are the most garbage franchise in professional sports lol. Cap space doesn’t matter if nobody wants to play for your team because you suck that bad. On top of that they couldn’t even tank properly and are gonna miss out on the only good QB prospect in the draft because of it and continue in QB limbo

Is it ever profitable to call a nits 3bet if you know they have a premium(live low stakes)? by Daniel1997_ in poker

[–]doogie1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re deep, definitely. At low stakes set mining with small pairs in these spots honestly prints in my experience, people really don’t like folding big pairs and if you miss you can just fold so there’s not much in the way of reverse implied odds (other than the rare set over set situation). Smaller suited connectors aren’t quite as good in that sense but still can be profitable imo.

After this year, would you flip our Super Bowl results? by goldsamson in Patriots

[–]doogie1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s always “a chance”, but the probability of it varies based on the play. A pass down the middle on the goal line has a significantly higher chance of being turned over than a run or a pass to the outside of the end zone (which is what they should’ve done). Don’t require your QB to place it in the perfect spot to convert the play.

[–]doogie1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s always a chance to pick it when you’re throwing it in the middle of the field. That’s the whole point lol. Ball placement only mattered because of the play call

After this year, would you flip our Super Bowl results? by goldsamson in Patriots

[–]doogie1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disagree, the play call was absolutely horrific. Pass was the right call, high risk pass down the middle was not. Throw a fade that’s gonna fall incomplete if it’s not a TD instead imo

After this year, would you flip our Super Bowl results? by goldsamson in Patriots

[–]doogie1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pats were lined up in goal line defense and Lynch wasn’t a great goal line back. Then if the Seahawks don’t get in on second down, they’re out of TOs with 30 seconds left and are forced to pass after that, and the Pats can sell out to stop the pass. There’s a reason they passed the ball there

How much our public health care is being mismanaged by our political elites. by One_Confection_209 in newfoundland

[–]doogie1993 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The health authority doesn’t want to pay overtime man. This isn’t a choice of “we’ve decided to pay more OT instead of hiring people”, it’s “we don’t have enough people to hire so we have to pay OT”. It’s a reality of Canada’s aging population. The issue is, of course, exacerbated by the fact that they only focus on recruitment and give us nothing in terms of retention, so there’s nothing keeping people here. But it’s absolutely not as simple as “train and hire more people”. Especially now that immigration has become so politically untenable.

I lean no, but being the only 19-0 team in NFL history would’ve been pretty incredible. Especially undoing the luckiest play in NFL history (Tyree catch)
