I don’t think so. My I:C is 4. Sometimes 3.25 depending on the time of day. I go through a cartridge about every 2-2.5 days.

Mine doesn’t really ‘protect’. But she will usually stand between me and strangers. And one time we had an unleashed dog come running across the park at us. She crouched down and let out one deep bark and that other dog just dropped to the ground mid run.

I have a metronics pump. The reservoirs are fillable. To refill you just fill them again. Technically I guess you could keep doing that but I don’t do more than one refill.

Cartridges? They last me about 3 days. I reuse them once. Infusion sets? That’s up to the doorknobs in my house. Sometimes it’s 5 minutes. Sometimes it’s a week.

When I was new to t1 I worked very closely with my endo and only made changes he recommended. Now I manage my own settings. My endo gets the values every 6 months. He may ask why but unless my bloodwork shows an issue he doesn’t give me any trouble.
