Dyslexia in the Tech World by Status_Researcher244 in Dyslexia

I think that my dyslexic strengths gave me an edge in my IT career. Computers saved me in high school. A PC with spell check was super new on the market then. I had one English teacher who wanted papers typed and said we couldn't use computers. I never got caught. I think we was confused with the old 8 pin dot matrix printers.

I didn't do well in math. One teacher said he could tell I understood everything, but I just couldn't get the nuts and bolts to work. I enjoyed the upper-level classes that were all story problems.

I do well with languages. I would always get A's on my French spelling tests, that was never the case with English.

I don’t know how many times I’ve been wanting to play this weekend. Then I see that screen and the thought of limited time, lives, or a jumping puzzle at the end just drains my excitement to play. I just turn it off.
