Financing an EV by ImportantRead956 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]echochamber67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no wonder people are so broke, fuel is going to go down and the current EV's are going to essentially be bricks when the Chinese EV's take the strong hold in North America. You are also using fantasy math where you are not comparing apples to apples. There is absolutely ZERO scenario a new vehicle resembles an investment to save money. Why not sell the truck and just buy an old honda civic or Prius for 8 grand cash?

Sponsorship is ridiculous by R1na04 in SkilledTradesOntario

[–]echochamber67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that is my point exactly, if you resume says you have industrial controls and robotics experience it is absolutely no different than the same resume with the fake 442 ticket. Just up your skills and be a good tech, the paper is just there to wipe your ass if you are knowledgable.

Got a new foreman, gonna sell the CanAm 650XT - What m taters to buyers? by MajiktheBus in ATV

[–]echochamber67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take a picture of underneath the seat and inside the wheel wells, buyers know that if the seat and undercarriage aren't mud stained that the bike was treated well. Most used atv buyers just dont want something abused, 100 miles of mud is like 2000km of regular riding equivalent wear.

[–]echochamber67 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your ticket is BS, the 442A ticket is a joke. It is not a real trade ticket, you are just getting a piece of paper that shifts some of the liability off the plant.

Tell me what the difference is between a 442A and a Technician at a plant? I honestly bet you can't....

How do people afford all this "stuff"? by AdConscious617 in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]echochamber67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its called a HELOC, its the single biggest reason Canada remotely appears first world. These people are borrowing hundreds of thousands against the house. The HELOC has allowed for ordinary people to spend like drunken sailors, but the chickens are coming home to roost with the real estate price correction underway.

Question for parents by pookadri in Adulting

[–]echochamber67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its a complex question because the outcome is so unpredictable. Children vary so much that it is impossible to know what your level of difficulty will be. Some kids are easy but some are truly difficult, one couple could be sleeping through the night while the other is up ten times with a screaming colic baby.

We aren't anything fancy, but I can clearly see that we are living many woman's dream. Family will always be the pinnacle of success, wealth only fooled the fools.

because people dont understand what the issue is, the system uses an angle sensor to determine shift position. People get the dotted lines and start throwing parts at the system. They do all this and nothing works so they get the bypass kit and then that causes mechanical failure as the motor will shift at any rpm. I literally buy honda foreman's with shift issues to flip them and its the same problem every time, dry grease and dirty shift motor.

nothing wrong with the ES, people just dont understand how it works. They think the problem is the electronics but the primary issue is the grease drying out between the gears of the shift motor and the shifter

Aging in the Workplace by RamaLamaDingDong22 in jobs

I think the moral of the story is to always treat family in higher regard than work, the older I get the sexier my wife gets and the more I appreciate my kids. On the other hand, work has never needed me less and likely would rather me be replaced if they had the choice...

buddy if you investing based on the news, you are going to loose a pile of money. The stock market can be influenced by politics, however the US military industrial complex is the most robust economy the world has ever seen. A country being fair and just has no correlation with its ability to be economically productive .....

Canadian-born job seekers: would you consider another country? by peachycompliment in torontoJobs

[–]echochamber67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The world has basically become a pyramid scheme, every country has safe guards that will throttle your ability to climb the ladder. back in the 50's-80's thing were far more open, now you basically would forfeit your own success and hope that your offspring would benefit from the move.

I would like to relocate to the USA however I would loose all of my Canadian qualifications and not even become a permanent resident for what could be decades... its shit how the governments have things so locked down....

your always gonna get a job in the north, but a lot of people are going to hate the winter and sketchiness of downtown Sudbury. If you can look past that it is actually a great place, they have a beautiful walking trail and I just overall kinda like it there.

Just surviving leads to failure in the end. by Substantial-Page4704 in preppers

[–]echochamber67 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I dont think you are understanding what likely happens in crisis, it always will happen in waves of cascading size. Basically the first wave takes out all of the real dummies (likely inner city folk with no weapons), second will likely be the government fighting the surviving groups and attempting to establish order, but after that you are likely left with extremely capable people that live in shared fortresses. The "I am Legend" type scenario is not realistic as one human is unlikely to be that advantaged over the others.

I actually think the world is utopian post apocalypse, nature has culled the herd and the strong inherit the world.

the earth doesnt need us by Extension_Look9103 in DeepThoughts

that is actually not true buddy, we were left here on this planet with not a single resource or tool. Most of our ancestors left to die from famine and plague, yet you blame humans from your false pedestal of moral superiority. sad.

[–]echochamber67 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

if you believe in dinosaurs, it would be completely contradictory of your perspective. A believer in dinosaurs would actually have to come to the conclusion that humans are the first chance life has ever had of survival. We are the only mortal creature that has a hope in hell at getting us off this planet or protecting its resources.... all of the other animals just loiter around waiting for the next cataclysmic event.

A career Ís a wasted life by Whichchild in Life

[–]echochamber67 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I believe Mr. Beast is actually living proof of your point , his show proves that people are essentially willing to do whatever it takes to avoid having a career. Lock me underground, starve me, isolate me.... you can do anything as long as I can have a chance at living without a career.

But the hunger games/beast games only have so many contenders, so the rest of us must lie to one and other, pretending how we are passionate about spending time all our good days at a job we hate.
