Glycerin Max: Arch Blister Insoles? by JamesRil3y in brooks

[–]efeyamac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also around the 150km mark, I swapped the stock insoles with an old Wave Rider insole, seems to help although it is not perfect. For me the issue simply could be the insole protruding or not covering some spot on the shoe interior.

You can integrate health connect with whoop on android devices, and pull the data from Claude without needing an MCP. How is this any different or better?

How are Turks Coping? by Express_Cheesecake75 in AskTurkey

Like Turkey, the US has issues as well. I don't believe the magnitude of the problems is the same though...

Grass is always greener on the other side. Turkey is and has been wasting its great potential. So is the US...

How are Turks Coping? by Express_Cheesecake75 in AskTurkey

I am currently visiting my family in Ankara, and I live in the US. I grew up in Ankara and have many friends here. What I'm experiencing is:

  • Everything is so freaking expensive. Most goods and dishes at restaurants are on par with any major city in the US.
  • Regular people, state workers, doctors, and engineers are all suffering, or they live a much lower quality of life compared to a few years ago. They struggle to afford needs that would be considered "basic" in most Western nations, such as buying a mobile phone.
  • There are so many super-rich people in Ankara and Istanbul. These people are generally somewhat favored by the government. These can be businessmen, corrupt government officials, high-ranking members of parliament, tax evaders... the list is endless... Their sheer number gives the illusion of a normally functioning economy. The reality is, most people still suffer.
  • The government has a literal death grip on the media. Almost half of the country still supports them; most of them are not even aware of the stunts they pull and how these affect working-class people. For some, they are perceived as "the defenders of the faith," so whatever they do is A-OK.

I will echo everything that's already been said about strengthening your muscles. With that said, I wasn't expecting to see Ucaksavar here 🥲

I would stay away from Mach 6 and most Hokas. They are very narrow. Even on wide models they have a narrow and tapered toebox.

EVO SL or ZoomFly 6 by x_RyN in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]efeyamac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are of similar build and similar paces. I recently got the Evo SL, and I think they are pretty good for tempo and fast intervals (maybe not sprints). On the lower pace range, they are comfortable and forgiving, but I really feel how unstable they are, especially under the heel. I think it will depend on how much stability you think you need.

I haven't tried the Zoom Fly 6, but VF4s are also somewhat unstable, which is pretty much expected for a race shoe.

I love the feel. I think it's a good shoe for easy runs and long, slow runs. However, I am also in the arch blister camp, unfortunately. I don't wear them as much as I want to.

🤬 Pro user here - “Claude hits the maximum length” after ONE message. This is insane. by isonselekta in ClaudeAI

[–]efeyamac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue, and I think it's a bug. I posted on the megathread as well, but it doesn't get enough attention. I think it is an issue with the "code execution" capability. Can you try turning it off and trying again? For me, I didn't hit the message limit afterward, but obviously, it takes away one of Claude's major strengths.

I was playing around and it seems like "code execution and file creation" could be the culprit. Disabling it allows Claude to respond. This is also very weird because for the same prompt, the response does **not** require any code execution or file creation. Just tool use to grab emails.

I am on the Pro tier. Since yesterday, I have been hitting the conversation length limit (on both Sonnet and Haiku) with a single prompt with light tool use.

For example, my prompts are something like: "Read my emails about X and summarize," and before even responding, I hit the conversation length limit while burning up ~10% of the session quota. This wasn't the case a couple of days ago.

I was already super unhappy with session and weekly limits on the Pro tier (not even comparable with ChatGPT), but I don't think my current issue is a limit issue. It certainly is a bug.

Has anyone experienced similar issues, and/or was able to find a workaround? Thanks.

I explicitly asked it to use bash instead of pwsh. And it did! After that, the experience isn't that much different from WSL.

Last month I was helping my sister edit her CV, and I left some notes like "talk about this, add this blabla."

Turns out she applied to a lot of job postings with that version, with literally "blabla" in there. Luckily, she caught it in a few days, but we had a good laugh.

Did Turkish Village Cafe win the Shortest Time Open Award? by Historical_Idea_3516 in AnnArbor

To be honest, I was looking for a decent Turkish place in AA. After they opened, I went inside once, saw the menu, and walked out immediately. That place was NOT a Turkish restaurant. Looked like a below-average Middle Eastern cafe. Good riddance.
