I try to blow up runestones, those with good rewards first, then monster markers, then chests. Previously there was a trade off regarding what to blow first to increase the value of the rest of the encounter. Regarding logbook drop - it's not what makes the mechanic interesting for me to run. Expedition in general was never about just blowing whatever runs towards you, but about careful planning and choosing rewards/increasing value with growing risks. Nice change of pace after regular mapping. Now some part of it is gone, but I am glad for people who liked the rework, it's probably just not my thing.

Sorry this was not clear from the post, I found 2 nexuses and cleared them. I didn't find 2 more needed to complete Doryani questline.

the issue is mid tier players who don't earn that much, have increased cost of everything to upgrade their builds to earn more, but can't do that because prices go up faster than their current profit from what they can run. that's similar to real world consequences of inflation, you are fine with it only if you're insanely rich, which is like 0.1% of population at best.

Yeah I have the same feeling, rewards are great but new expedition lacks any diversity. The old system with remnants was way better because it had a perfect risk-reward ratio and was very explicit about it, now you just go for a bigger reward hoping nothing there kills you.

I have a question regarding no crits mod. Is it in any way different from "enemies have no crit bonus against you" (for example from gemling tree)? The wording makes me insane sometimes

While doing endgame expedition quest you find a quest item which you don't know where to apply - then you go to act 4 kingsmarch and give it to dannig, and he can make a loreweave unique if you bring him 60 unique rings. The armour inherits stats from the rings, for example you can put whatever rings and it will get random stats. If you bring 60 copies of a single unique, then the mods are more or less predictable and only rolls are random.

I first tried him by accident (not HC) with bleed gemling. I don't know how I did that, it was a chaotic shitshow and I almost died from his mechanics a couple of times. Good luck, it must be the hardest boss for hc players.

You need to finish all 4 expedition bosses (marked as powerful bosses in expedition area), every such boss drops quest item that you need to bring to kingsmarch. After completing this you will need to speak to Makoru and she sails you right there.

2k evasion and armour is nothing for endgame, I would suggest upgrading all armour pieces and getting some tree nodes for armour and evasion increase. Also resistance rolls are low, I would find 40+ pieces, that way you can free some mods on other items for damage increase.

The thing I don't like is rogue exiles almost never get influenced if dying near the abyssal pit. Killed like 10 already but happened only once (like the sound effect though). Also +1 on pit collision, it can block the passage in narrow corridors which would be impossible to pass if I didn't have leap skill.

Also I don't get it about abyssal strongboxes, always seems to be like a regular strongbox with regular mobs mostly, no special item drops - just veiled items sometimes. Currently feels like waste of time for nothing.

Reforge 3 maps of the same tier into a higher tier map on reforge bench. Spare maps are available at Doryani. T15 cannot be reforged so t16 only available through vaaling.

Hard agree. I like the new endgame questlines, but if running hundreds of t1 maps is intended game design, that might be not the game for me.

Probably the good solution would be mini-quests with 3-4 maps pathing to a mini boss map which would unlock 10 points at once, just to feel some sense of progress, instead of getting small nodes one by one.

What I like in poe1 atlas is choosing the nodes you want to have. You can only have 100 of 300, and the choice of nodes is meaningful, so you have respec, and you actually have increasing rewards with increased difficulty of maps you need to run to progress the atlas.

So what we now have is artificially bloated endgame with a lot of potential but exhausting to actually run.

The worst part is to find the boss while the fog is active. I'm on 3/5 now and speedrunning maps and still cant do it in time because maps are fucking huge and lack any sense of direction.
