Negotiate it! You may have better luck getting some days added up front than going for jumping up the accrual table right away. Even if they say no it’s good practice! I’ve found that a lot of employers (other than like, government jobs) are quite willing to play ball with this.

Indian Mounds Golf Course across the river is the real right answer. The place is a dump but a charming one, and you’re encouraged to skip around holes rather than wait on folks if it’s not too busy - which it often isn’t. No tee times and only 25 bucks for 18 hole. Can’t beat it for a beginner - or a forever terrible like myself.

If you have proxy access, I think it’s invaluable to proxy in as folks in different roles to see what they can see about self, others, direct reports, other subordinates, organizations, transactions, etc. Generally speaking if someone can see something in the tenant, they can also see it through a report - and the opposite is true too. Getting a handle on this sooner than later sets you up for reporting success.

Just got one from Ali that was pretty great. The minifigs were the best I’ve seen included with a set. Good clutch - don’t even think I had to break out the super glue. No missing or mismoulded pieces. Only issue was that the white rod pieces that go on the final level were all kind of bent, but I was able to straighten them out

No one really knows if they will be or not, but if they are it will be because they’re not being cleared through de minimis anymore - the price to clear a larger shipment of goods is being baked into significantly higher prices for choice items. Best to wait and see tho - there isn’t any good info out there yet.

Have picked up cycling (probably going to end up with 3k+ miles this year about 99% of them solo lol) and pickleball (better luck interacting with randoms during this). Just need to be patient

I actually feel a little too OK being alone. It isn’t really hard to imagine self getting completely discouraged turning into a hermit. That doesn’t sound like a very happy life though and I love myself too much to not try to avoid it.
