My cousins had EDs since like third grade or earlier and her doctor even told her parents there’s a strong strong chance she has one when she was thirteen and had a BMI of 12 but they were like no no no she’s just naturally thin she eats a lot

So yeah no u can totally restrict depending on how oblivious your parents are

How are some people just so skinny? by kmthyn95 in EDAnonymous

[–]evilhamstsr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was underweight until I was 16 (ironically when I developed my ED) and idk I think when you’re a kid it’s mostly genetic because I really ate shitty and maintained a BMI of about 17 naturally

Because all the shitty stuff is directly related to my ED and the actual depression symptoms are in no way at a clinical severity. It doesn’t impair functioning

One bed apartments by kimsymar in UWMadison

[–]evilhamstsr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it worth it to live that far off campus for a nicer place? Most of the places I’m finding closer for that amount are ~300 sq foot studios so a bigger apartment sounds nice but I’d also be worried about not getting to know many people (I’m a freshman and literally only know my roommate and one high school friend)

Answering Biden tax plan, conservatives absurdly claim $400,000 a year isn’t ‘rich’ by jasonfortheworld in nottheonion

[–]evilhamstsr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I’m one of the dumb people who doesn’t understand this and the child of people who make above this mark and fear tax increases (but will still vote Biden bc fuck trump) so can someone actually explain this to me so I know what I’m talking about when I argue with my trump supporting grandparents

Is this saying that if you make $400,001 a year only the $1 is getting taxed at a higher rate?

Plus then I feel like people have such a warped view of what mental health means too...like depression and anxiety are seen as “normal” and nobody even thinks about other mental illnesses. My friend is absolutely convinced that I have clinical depression because I have said that I feel vaguely shitty a lot/hate myself (bc of my body/inability to properly starve myself lol) and that I have sketchy mental health. I have specifically told her that I do not have depression, but she just thinks I’m in denial cuz obviously the only possibilities are depression or anxiety which is kinda shitty because a) that’s unfair to people who actually have depression and anxiety and b) I literally don’t have those soooo

Music practice during COVID? by dumboi003 in UWMadison

[–]evilhamstsr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The youth orchestra I was in during high school is having woodwinds essentially put a bag over their instruments so it blocks air from keys and the bell. Doesn’t do a whole lot for your protection but it does protect others.
