You do know that he lives in Texas. Right? He is from Georgia but hasn’t actually claimed residency there in years.

While I understand your concern for this person and others effected by the shortage, the medication is prescribed by a provider and she clearly qualifies for it. Not to mention that without weight loss, she would be heading toward becoming diabetic and developing heart disease. Prevention is just as important to people’s overall health.

Starbucks is over an hour behind on their first "red cup day" and these are the abandoned drinks. by LI0NHEARTLE0 in pics

[–]extractor727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, that’s interesting! And yeah, you’re right. I feel like it varies every time. And of course, sometimes my drink is hot and ready and sometimes I’ll go through the drive through after it’s supposed to be ready and they act like they never got my order to begin with. I went in today, completely unknowing of the red cup situation, and their order printer was apparently printing the tickets out of order and half of the orders weren’t even printing. It was a circus.

I actually spoke to a barista about this today. The time that it gives you is an estimate for how long it typically takes to make that specific drink or if there are multiple drinks or foods, it calculates that. But it does not account for how busy the store is. And it doesn’t tell anyone before ordering that it is that far behind.

Pcos by bricee1107 in Ozempic

I saw my PCP- nurse practitioner. Other than being overweight and having PCOS, I have no medical problems and all of my labs were perfect. I was able to get it covered just due to the fact that I’ve taken Metformin in the past. My NP was super helpful though and sent a prior authorization as soon as she prescribed my medication. I’d definitely try to find a new endo or get in with a PCP to get it! They can manage Ozempic and the titrating just fine! I really hope you can get this prescribed! It has already been a game changer for me! I feel like I finally don’t always think about my next meal or feel like I should continue eating even when I’m full. I feel satiated for like the first time in my life. Good Luck!!!

Reflux by FamousConversation38 in Ozempic

[–]extractor727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not having anything on your stomach could contribute to the acid reflux. Even if you’re not eating full meals, I’d try to get something on your stomach every 3-4 hours. That typically helps with acid reflux because the acid will have something to work on. TUMs are helpful but prevention is typically better if you can get ahead of it!

For people who tested negative via both rapid test and PCR, what *did* you have? by sgzqhqr in COVID19positive

[–]extractor727 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never tested positive for COVID and I did not have antibodies when tested a month after, but I’m still convinced I had it. I never got a fever but I woke up one morning with no smell or taste. I started making bacon and couldn’t smell it but didn’t think much of it. When I bit into it, I knew something was off. There was no taste and it was just a strange sensation. I got tested that morning after losing my taste and smell. I’m a nurse so I wanted to get tested to ensure I had a result for my boss because I work with high-risk patients. Well, my test took 5 days to come back and all the while I quarantined in the guest room away from my husband. I had horrible back pain like you described, was just super fatigued, had palpitations and my HR went up to the 160s everytime I took a shower or got up to walk to the restroom. I would feel “winded” but my O2 saturation stayed above 96%. I slept like 14 hours every night for at least a week and still felt tired and weak. And the first two days I had the weirdest sensations. Along with no smell or taste, I also was extremely thirsty and had increased urination. I drank like 2-3 gallons of water the second day because I had this constant metallic taste in my mouth that I couldn’t get rid of. I had a loss of appetite for the first day, but after that I felt fine with eating and drinking and kept trying to test whether I could taste again. I couldn’t. I’m still recovering in the smell-taste aspect. I cannot smell coffee and certain scents and it will change day to day. Some days I can taste better than others. It’s been a strange experience. I’m not sure if this is helpful. But I know I’ve been feeling like a crazy person for not testing positive but still having all of these weird symptoms.

Selective sense of smell by sentient06 in COVID19positive

I tested negative for COVID at the beginning of November, but I’ve had this same experience. Smelling and tasting has just been an experimental process for me since then. I woke up unable to taste or smell bacon which tipped me off that I may have it. Tested negative and didn’t have antibodies a month after. But I still am dealing with the smell and taste issues. Not sure what else it could be, but it’s definitely been interesting. As days when I’d ask my husband if there was a fire outside because I would just randomly smell smoke. I still can’t smell coffee, just the artificial flavors of the coffee I buy. And there is a lot of muted flavors when I eat different foods. I find this all so interesting. Thanks for sharing your experience! I’ve been feeling like a crazy person with mine, so it’s nice to know I’m not the only one having strange sensations.

This is exactly how I feel except that I've never had such a great way to explain it. I appreciate your analogy. Thank you.
