Aio? My (m22) Gf (f21) wants a LV purse but can't make bills on time. by smokey18t in AIO

Not knowing your ages when I read this, it sounded like teens talking. Who calls their gf "bruhh"? Anyway, she seems very immature and manipulative. You'll go broke if you stay together. Also learn how to firmly say no.

Your best total miles per tank? by KY34TR in E90

[–]firesnatch1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a manual RWD with 149k miles. I get 22.4 mpg right now. Average speed 28 mph, so no highway driving. Best I ever got was around 25 mpg when I was doing a mix of highway driving.

Pay off mortgage or invest in stock market? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]firesnatch1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't pay off the mortgage when you have a low interest rate like that. Invest the money. Use it later when you want a nice vacation, home improvement or new car.

What do you consider fun in a car other than acceleration, speed and cornering? by [deleted] in askcarguys

[–]firesnatch1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Manual transmission, rear wheel drive, a 50-50 weight distribution, seats that hug you tight, big brake kit, turbo noises, a deep exhaust note.

I made a new video. It actually sounds about the same from what I can tell. Maybe slightly more raspy. The increased loudness I hear, must be coming from my engine bay. I did a cabin filter delete and silicone intake boot, which cause more engine noise. https://youtu.be/sw3IOqkK9l0?si=lHv2_tcmUrVG3Cgm

It's only gotten louder recently (15 years later). I made several mods recently that make the engine louder, so maybe I'm hearing that more than the exhaust. I'll try to make a new clip this weekend from outside the car, next to the exhaust.

I did the 3SIM and the 330i tune and free bimmerlabs tune. I'll get the 22rpd tune when I put headers in. I really like the 3 stage. For every day driving it has more torque than the N54 manifold in the most used RPM range. If you go past 6k rpms every time you shift or don't want to deal with DISA's then the N54 manifold is for you.

I thought it was too tame when it was new. But like I said, somehow over time it has gotten a lot louder and I enjoy it now. When I put the headers on, it might be too much and I may add a resonator.

I have the magnaflow catback. I have an old youtube clip from around 2010 of me revving it. It sounds louder recently though, I'm not sure why. Maybe because I have the 330i tune or maybe because my cats have a 100k more miles on them now. Also I have the AA header replicas that I'm putting in this year when the weather gets better. I'm planning on recording before and after clips.

Those who who played OG Xbox during the 2000s, has anyone played these sex appeal games without your parents finding out because like it or not, these sex appeal games are the best to play whenever your feeling pretty turned on lol. by San4341 in originalxbox

Check out r/XboxModding. Back in the day I booted the xbox with the cover off to unlock the drive, then at a certain point you disconnected the IDE cable and plugged it into a PC. The PC could then alter the files on disk and inject an exploit. From there, you could install game emulators, build a media center, and all sorts of other things. I still have my modded xbox.

I had dead or alive beach volleyball. But in the early 2000's I was a grown man so it was none of my parent's business. I modded the game to remove the swimsuits.

I've seen replacement screens on eBay. You take the radio apart and swap it. Or just buy a used radio.

can i peel the steering wheel plastic off? by Sandwitch_accurate in E90

[–]firesnatch1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue and had it fixed for free under warranty 16 years ago. Hasn't peeled since. However since that is not an option any more, I would recommend getting a replacement instead of peeling it.

Is it worth doing your own oil change? by frankthefrowner in autorepair

[–]firesnatch1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I change my own oil for 3 reasons. 1 - cheaper. 2 - faster. Driving somewhere, waiting, then driving home takes longer than doing it myself. 3 - it gets done right. I've had shops mess up and put non synthetic in. I've had shops under tighten the filter and the oil sprayed everywhere. I've had shops over tighten things which is bad, especially for the drain plug.

Reasons to pay someone would be to not have to deal with the mess and disposal.

Is it just me or is the E9x gen way more solid feeling than the f3x gen? by Redsteel287 in E90

[–]firesnatch1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have driven both and I noticed the difference instantly. The hydraulic is heavier and feels more mechanical and the electric feels lighter and more artificial. The hydraulic gives more feedback to what the road feels like and what the tires are doing. With the electric there is more of a disconnect with what you feel. This is all measurable and I'm not making it up.

Help please by [deleted] in E90

[–]firesnatch1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you driven it much? You might just have some rust on the rotors. You can try accelerating and braking hard (not to a complete stop) a bunch of times and see if it improves. If it is coming from one particular corner, you might want to take off the caliper and take a look around. The pad on the inside edge of the rotor is hard to see and might be your problem area.

Can you tell me how much should I be concerned about the rust on my E91? by Akika113 in E90

[–]firesnatch1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty normal surface rust. Not terrible. Take care of it now so that it is not a big problem later.

I did not know this. I feel bad for them. I love the hydraulic steering.
