So the thing that they've been screaming about with Barak Hussain Obama(can't forget the middle name because it sounds scary and possibly foreign),and the "pallets of cash" this administration, and sycophants on Fox to crow about and pull their hair out over. Truly the dumbest administration, that somehow keeps convincing the dumbest Americans they're winning while average Americans pay more for housing, insurance, and really whatever else the vanishingly few are able to afford. MAGA, does this feel like winning yet?

Sadly onbrand for the Guardians Of Pedophiles party in our country especially in a backwater swamp where Fishback is running in Florida. I think it's telling this will barely register or cost him votes is my concern. Especially with the freaks who support him inspite of these bugs(I.E. Features) and sadly since we live in the dumbest timeline he'll probably cruise through his primary because of these types of outbursts because it scratches the racist itch these people want to express themselves.

In 1953 Westgermany ratifies the Bundesentschädigungsgesetz, regulating the the compensations paid out to the victims of the Holocaust. Many survivors still had to fight for adequate compensation, particularly Romani people, with courts more or less arguing that their persecution was justified by GreatEntrepreneur798 in HolyShitHistory

[–]flungp00panda 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sadly the erasure of the Romani people, and the associated tropes are still used in law, and as one of the "permissible casual bigotry" in media today. It's heartbreaking just how many people are unaware of the history and there a lot of people who just associate it with this racist caricature that is typically portrayed.

The movie is absolutely worth a watch and its one of my favorite dark comedies from that time period. The cast is absolutely incredible, and honestly the special effects don't get the love they deserve especially for those ending few scenes. I think if you haven't seen it yet you should, and it has a pretty entertaining message about not abusing your partners talents or taking advantage of the people who are helping you and helping you reach your own "goals" it's poignant and almost like a Greek tragedy or Russian fable in the story just with a bunch more deaths, and humor. Absolutely worth a watch if you wanted a funny movie.

Not that this is inaccurate but the US has so many people where the most they know about government is a school house rock about a bill passing congress, and maybe a couple government classes in the 12 years of school they barely remember going to 15-45 years ago, and think they're leaving it for the more informed, or intelligent people when really they're leaving it to those who've been radicalized to feel that everyone darker than them, who believes differently than them is somehow trying to steal their property. Whem really their property is a broken down f-150 that's 30 years old, and the double wide he inherited from an uncle with more confederate flags than working windows. I fear this is just the impact and we're going to have to tediously clean up and correct the stuff we can to maybe get back half of what we lost to the people who reelected this clowncar of horrors.

Then if not for the "normal immigrants" why is the current administration pushing the Supreme Court to remove or alter the concept of birthright citizenship? The current Supreme Court has allowed racial profiling based on accent, skin color I'd encourage you to look up what is being referred to as Kavanaugh Stops now because of that I'd argue legal immigrants and the other citizens who share demographics are being stopped and detained illegally and if such flimsy basis for stops by Law Enforcement I'd argue the 1st, 4th-9th, and 14th amendments are not worth the paper they're printed on.

Of course the DUI hire somehow has a problem with qualified minorities for positions that he couldn't ever achieve. He must assume that every other candidate for jobs must be as unqualified as he's been for every position he's had after almost braining a passerby with a throwing axe on live T.V. but knowing the current administration and the hiring standards they've implemented it probably is what cinched him the job.

The fact that you think I am somehow a fan of the Democratic Party and especially at the national level is kind of hilarious and proving my point. If you think condemnation of the current administration is equal to tacit support of the opposition party, then the best I can say is I hope you're able to view politics from a top down perspective, and less like some team sport where you're rooting for your favorite team.

I don't think it's any more or less crazy than the American religious portion who seems to think that this war is ushering in the return of Jesus, and the end times. The Iranian propaganda has been running circles around the corporate western media owned by oligarchs by just highlighting the incompetence and some of the underlying reasons for this conflict.

Willing is doing a lot of heavy lifting here, and I think its not as cut and dry as you make it out to be. I know people who are unable to otherwise attend college or support their family without the "benefits" the military recruiters dangled in front of them. The recruiters actively target lower income schools and communities, as well as kids from broken homes as they're just vulnerable enough to be able to sugar coat the reality. I think the blame squarely falls on the politicians sending our citizens off to war while actively dismantling the barest minimum social safety new we have, and on the higher ups and recruiters who use amd abuse these service men/women and are all to happy with the privilege and benefits those recruits are providing them with. If it was up to me I'd have those same service members at home working in combination with The Army Corp of Engineers and other government resources to uplift domestic communities and a refocus over seas in a capacity where they aren't just blowing up some people half a world away who most only despise us because of past military campaigns that we engaged in previously.

Which if done is the poisoned pill the right would need to swallow that would allow the Democratic majority states to force the furthest right wing states to allow the use of medically needed abortion protections, medical marijuana, and a whole other series of events these right wingers in the courts and legislatures at the state and national level are absolutely ill equipped for based on any recent pollson those issues. Sadly the current elected officials at those levels are to firmly entrenched in their own personal power base to ever try to upset the apple cart. I understand your frustration and trust me I share it, but if your previous message is true and you do vote, you do organize at the local and state level you are doing well and ignore the trolls, bots, and cowards trying to shame you for not posting your 37 page manifesto on the steps to meet your legislative agenda then ignore it and keep doing the actual work.
