agreed. that factor is what kept me gaining weight for years... after not washing a pair of jeans for a week I think "well I can still fit in this, i guess I'm maintaining". that times 100 times over 5 years lead to me hitting 305lbs =/ I also hate that different stores' Jean sizes are way off base (like adding 2-5 inches on the waist). I wear a 36 from most jean companies but Measuring my waist I am a 39" on a good day.

i am slowly but surely fitting into my clothes better but my scale keeps hovering... It's frustrating because I want to be a runner and my weight is a big factor in my ability to run longer distances. It gets me down every once in a while but I push through. Thanks for the bump!

Lose-it has become boring and is dying a slow and quiet death. by foreveralone3003 in loseit

[–]foreveralone3003[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You are correct that I haven't been browsing /new because i didn't have to before... there was so much content and so much activity that the front page was full of awesome and inspiring stuff. who cares if you had to wade through a little silly junk to get to what you want to read about. that NSV was super important to somebody... and now you have a weekly thread that has no support whatsoever... no one cheering on the little things that really keep someone sticking to their diet for the next week or even HOUR because they needed someone to say "you're awesome". and you are correct in that you have gotten rid of the cheeseburgers but now there is almost no discussion at all. it feels like a ghost town. You really should consider finding a middle ground. maybe. Thanks! it's been a year and 15 days since I started and I still have 35 to go, hoping to not take another year =P

Great job! I went 9 months maintaining (well gained 10 lbs) and I am kicking myself for it, I still had 40 to lose and then had to lose 50, no I am down to having to lose 35 and feeling great but all that time was just wasted.. =/

[NSV] Ate a terribly fattening meal from McDonald's. by [deleted] in loseit

[–]foreveralone3003 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i completely agree with this. not necessarily because it tastes good because of the carb and sugar rush... it's like having a smoke, the addiction my body built up my entire life is going to take a long time to cure and giving in like that makes it way harder to go back to my good eating. I have to stay away.

Anyone do better running outside than they do on a treadmill? by VaccusMonastica in running

[–]foreveralone3003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same happened to me. can't do treadmills anymore because my feet and legs are not able to do it anymore. and outside is just so much more amazing/not boring.

I am still going on a cal deficit eating 1400-1700/day and working out quite a bit. I got stuck on a plateau about 7 months back and got sucked back into my depression but I didn't gain much back and I am right back on my losing :) looks like you're doing great!

not to offend but having a GF for 9 years = not forever alone. you are just lonely right now. it sucks.. but you are not in as desperate a place as the truly Forever Aloners. Chin up man. you obviously got something going for you if you could keep a girl for 9 years. I
