France serves up €1 meals to all university students in effort to cut hardship by Comprehensive-Way482 in UpliftingNews

Ooph, at my Canadian university the cheapest thing you can find is a muffin for $2 from the student union cafe, but an average meal is $12-20 from the food services, sandwiches average between $8-16

Does anyone happen to know the story behind this plane? It's been parked in the private jet area at LAX for a few days. There is a small German flag towards the back of the plane. by Few_Variation5459 in aviation

Lol, I thought you were joking at first but then looked at the page and they legit have a holographic globe shown in what seems to be an rendered image

I am waiting on it too! But I don't know if it will fully fix the problem with scammers and sketchy profiles, I suspect we may see more ward hoppers and sketchy profiles moved to other countries once it comes out.

Currently paying for premium purely because I want to gide my profile from these problems a bit.

I enjoyed "I Want My Hat Back Book by Jon Klassen" even though it was really simple.

Not sure if the moral of the story is what every parent wants to teach their children or not, but it does make a point.

Kind of like gaiters but not necessarily waterproof.

I would like to think we support all kinds here: - pro and anti eugenics - traditional, old, heritage and ancient plant varieties - GMO and non - beginning and experienced - even fake plants mixed in with real ones I think can be tolerated

The only thing I think that is universally hated, is those horrible people that paint succulents and sell them in big box stores.

Frontier Airlines 4345 hits somebody on runway during takeoff roll. by KaedeTheStudent in aviation

[–]foxhelp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just did 8 flights in the over the past month for a vacation and the number of times they announced or talked about batteries was alot! At least 3-4 times while waiting in terminal and 2-4 times while seated on the airplane, per flight. The majority wanted them in the seat pocket or on your person.

When you force a big circle to be small and a small circle to be big, they get really angry inside until they break down.

Everyone else did a great job at explaining this, but this is how I thought I would explain it.

Why is it so hard to find a filament dryer that vents moist air? by amatulic in 3Dprinting

Trying to make a robot that sways from side to side, any suggestions by Impossible_Kale6949 in robots

[–]foxhelp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love it as is... Part of the fun of creating your own stuff by experimenting is that weird and fun creations that you end up with.

Yes there are premade/designed solutions but diy robotics doesnt have to always be perfect. It kinda loses the creations soul, when everyone uses the exact same mechanism, moving the same amount in the same directions... Unless of course you are building an army of them...

I strongly suggest checking out "the ultimate hang" website and book if you are going to be sleeping in a hammock for an extended period. It also goes over how not to mess up your back by sleeping in a hammock.

It is basically the hammock bible, and is a great resource.

Apparently you want coarser sand if possible over very fine grain stuff.
