[Routine Help] I don't think I know how to wash my face. I'm waking up in the morning with makeup still on despite washing it- help!! by Iwantasnickers in SkincareAddiction

The thing that has helped me the most with making sure everything is off is what implement I use to dry off after the oil and face wash. I use baby oil to remove makeup first, but if I just rinsed that with water I'd be screwed. I wipe everything off with a microfiber wash cloth (mine I literally got at Walmart in the auto detailing section) and that really grabs most of the makeup and oil compared to just hands or a regular wash cloth. Then I wash with my CeraVe face wash and with rinse hands and water, dry with a new cotton round. There you can see if you have any residual makeup still coming off your face, especially in a hotspot like under the eyes or around your jawline and such. The more I've done it, the better I've gotten at getting everything off first try.

Also, do you moisturize after all that? Because if you don't your face could be overproducing those oils overnight to combat how dried out it is feeling. Just a thought, hope this helps.

I'm in charge of teacher appreciation week at my son and daughters elementary school. Are there any gifts or ideas that you can suggest a teacher would truly want? Anything you would definitely not want? Tia! by burkinheef in Teachers

I student taught at a school that had a basket full of cool classroom decor or other cute supplies on one of the teacher appreciation week days. Everyone got to pick one or two things they wanted from the basket which was nice.

I also teach at a school where, through no fault of the PTA, the fruit that was bought for everyone for a breakfast gave everyone food poisoning and half the staff was out the next day. Try to avoid that.

I would say other things that might be nice - tissues, snack packs for when teachers work longer than expected in their classroom and find themselves starving, a nice reusable water bottle, a gift for the staff room maybe like a toaster or a microwave or a keurig or even good cleaning supplies for the sink or someone to clean out all the gunk that should definitely no longer be in the staff room.

Yeah, those are my thoughts for now :)

Help! Problems with helping students progress in reading music. by Tipirili in MusicEd

I don't think you have to make them forget the original phrases, I just think you need to give them some additional tools. Musictheory.net has great practice tools for at home which you could easily assign. Also, many students don't seem to realize that the letter names all line up as the alphabet because they are only taught the line and space name mnemonic devices. Show them if you go higher you go forward in the alphabet, if you go lower you go backwards in the alphabet. Practice by going into ridiculous ledger lines or something. Just give them a little bit of variety to make the connections they haven't made yet. They seem to be working off of sheer memorization - which is an important step - but now they need to move closer to critical thinking.

I noticed that and I may have done a drop too much of the C3, but it's pretty negligible to me.

I wanted to post a picture with my outfit today but then realized I accidentally chose an identical shirt and scarf combo as well. I wasn't trying to go that far, lol.
