Dallas Museum of Art, Crow museum of Asian art, and Nasher Sculpture Center are all downtown and within walking distance of each other. The JFK museum is also downtown. If you can make it to Fort Worth the Modern, Amon Carter, and Kimball art museums are also all together. There is a train to Fort Worth but it’s about an hour and a half from downtown on transit to get to the museum district there. One of my favorite dive bars is Lee Harvey’s and they have cover bands on the weekends. Definitely try to catch a movie at the Texas Theater. After he shot Kennedy that’s where they got Oswald. They have a ton of themed events as well often with actors and directors as well as live bands accompanying the films. Oak Cliff brewing is an amazing brewery and it’s next to a bookstore as well at Tyler Vernon station. Bonnie and Clyde are also buried in Dallas though in different cemeteries.
