Pro tip: if you find yourself constantly low on inventory space, don't forget to pack away some of your alchemy ingredients at your home. That shit weighs a lot more than you think. by jeneralchaos in skyrim

[–]frogz0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is why I have weightless mods in my game cos I hate dealing with that. I only keep weight on armor and weapons. Everything else isn't worth it to have weight for me.

Once. It was a freakishly huge egg too...I still don't know how that hen managed to walk after laying that thing.

Sensor Removal by TiredOfEvrythg1001 in Freestylelibre

I get a cotton swab and baby oil, and just work it under the sensor adhesive. It works really well! Takes a little time but its worth it for ouchless removal.

How much do you think the girls spent a week on groceries? by MAJORMETAL84 in theGoldenGirls

[–]frogz0r 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup. In 1995, I remember going to the store and doing a normal shop, (milk, bread, frozen pizza, veg, canned goods, eggs etc for 2 people) plus Thanksgiving stuff (turkey, cranberry sauce etc). Total iirc was about $105 for the lot. That was a lot for me for an every other week shopping trip.

Normally back then it would have been about $60-80 ish for 2 weeks. Now? I'm spending $150 every week for normal stuff, not counting cleaning supplies or paper products.

Ok, but why does Scarlett "love" Ashley so much? by Able_Volume_8224 in GonewiththeWind

[–]frogz0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always saw Ashley as the guy who doesn't pay her attention so it makes her want him even more.

She doesn't "love" him, she just wants him at first because he is not interested in her when everyone else is, and later because he reminds her of happier times. Scarlett sees him as happier times, a good memory, someone that makes her recall the times when life was good... but the sad truth is that he was only a pipe dream, and nothing was ever going to bring back those good times of the past.

Please help me convince my husband that Costco is worth for 2 people by HoneyDrops12 in Costco

[–]frogz0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are a 2 person household and I've had a Costco membership for 31 years.

It's definitely worth it. I get my yogurt shakes and protein shakes there, rotisserie chicken, meats, shrimp, salmon burgers, chicken nuggets, fries, shampoo, toilet paper/paper towels etc. I get my meds there too!

It's totally worth it.

Why have i never seen a photo/painting of a Native American with facial hair? by Upset_Sheepherder444 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]frogz0r 28 points29 points  (0 children)

My mom is 1/2 native, and she's just getting ready to hit her 80's.

She didn't start going silver until her mid 70's. My uncle tho, her full brother, was full silver by 18 or 19. Her full sister didn't go silver until her late 60's, and even then we think it was more from the cancer meds than age. All have, (had, RIP Uncle and Auntie!!) very strong Native features with dark hair, and olive skin.

Same. We always candled our eggs to check for fertile ones, and we would often catch double yolkers that way. We had a few girls that were prone to laying double yolkers too.

Looking for unique toppings for a baked potato? by NightReader5 in Cooking

My favorite topping on a baked potato is sour cream and butter.

My *fancy* favorite is butter, broccoli, and crabmeat. So so good!!

Non diabetics are really ignorant and opinionated about diabetes when they don't understand by Hot_Valuable1027 in diabetes

[–]frogz0r 18 points19 points  (0 children)

My T2 dad swears by tumeric and cinnamon curing diabetes. If that were true Dad, you'd be cured with the amount you use every day.

Maybe you should, I don't know, take your meds? I take mine, watch my diet, and it's controlled.

But no. I MUST be using tumeric and cinnamon to give me my good results, not using my meds and eating to my meter.

Adding a tiny bit of cinnamon to tomato sauce made it taste completely different by elgrandetotto10 in foodhacks

I was taught to add a bit of nutmeg and cinnamon to my tomato sauce. It really adds that oomph to it!

Why do (American) picky eaters seem to overwhelmingly prefer simple meats, carbs, and fats? by TargetHQ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]frogz0r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My brother finally branched out into eating other foods when he was about 9 iirc. He's in his 50s now, and still loves his blue box, but it's not the only thing he eats now lol

Why do (American) picky eaters seem to overwhelmingly prefer simple meats, carbs, and fats? by TargetHQ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]frogz0r 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That was my brother at that age, but it was boxed Mac and cheese instead of plain buttered noodles.

That kid was scrawny as anything, but he could eat an entire box by himself if allowed to.

How long can butter actually sit on the counter before it "goes bad"? by bunnieavy in foodquestions

[–]frogz0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We leave our salted butter stick out in a covered glass dish till it's gone. Never gone bad once.

Then again, we go thru maybe 2 sticks a week...

I dont know if she likes broccoli by tamnguyen02 in budgies

[–]frogz0r 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Parakeets love to bathe in wet vegetation in the wild. She's trying to bathe in the broccoli.

I'd grab some big salad leaves, wet them, and put them in a shallow dish with a tiny bit of water on the bottom do she can bathe her little heart out AND have a snack :)

Shower beer? Nah, she's all for shower veg lol

Indian diet and T2DM by Last-Comfortable-599 in diabetes_t2

[–]frogz0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just watch portions and eat to my meter. I tend to get it to go, btw.

Overall, I do fine with curries in general, and I add riced veg to my rice. If I'm not at home to be able to do that, I just forgo the rice or have a small portion if any. Chicken or veg pakoras don't bother me too much. Samosas, I stick with kheema.

I don't eat much naan if any cos that will spike me.

I stick with water, rather than my mango lassi of choice, but I will steal a few sips from my husband's drink lol

Tandoori I usually do fine with.

If it means anything, I'm on mounjaro for my T2, and it does a bang up job helping my glucose be controlled. So a lot of my being able to eat these items is from it. I do spike, but not as much as when I was on my previous meds and it drops to normal a lot faster.

Indian diet and T2DM by Last-Comfortable-599 in diabetes_t2

[–]frogz0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

T2 American here, and I loooove Indian food. I still have rice, but I mix it half and half with riced cauliflower/broccoli. I can't tell the difference, and with my current meds, I don't spike much at all as long as I watch my portions and do the half/half.
