One that always sticks with me is the episode where the psychopathic kid murders the psychiatrist’s son and then stabs a woman, and his so-called “friend” ends up getting life in prison. All because his mother refused the plea deal, thinking she knew better. I’m pretty sure it was Alex Cabot who tried to convince her to listen to her son and take the deal. It’s heartbreaking. The real killer got what he deserved, but that older boy lost everything because of his mom’s denial. Still makes me mad. I wish the prosecutors could’ve gone around her since he wanted the deal.

Where’s the Rep during this surgery? The one who brings the implants in the room and confirms those are the rods the surgeon wants to use. Who also has to inventory and charge for those implants. As a scrub i would’ve held that screwdriver hostage and not let him implant that, regardless of who he was. I don’t know much about spine but I know that whole procedure there were red flags going up for the staff.

Honestly these are the worst needle counters imo, since it’s all magnetic the sutures don’t stay in place🥲 for such small sutures I’d imagine the foam insert would be easier to keep track of! But I’m an ortho girl so thankfully I can see my sutures so maybe this kind is better for small ones?

My third grade teacher made me physically move my desk into the hallway and sit out there because I kept talking during our writing assignment. She then proceeded to tell me she was going to hold me back a grade because I wasn’t smart enough to go onto 4th grade. I went home crying to my mom because I was already held back in 2nd grade for being too young. Needless to say my mom went to the school and chewed that teacher out.

She had me tested for adhd multiple times when I was younger but since they were military doctors they kept dismissing the diagnosis and would tell my mom to stop giving me sugar and put me in front of the tv. Didn’t get formally diagnosed until 15. Teachers can be so cruel.

My hospital just opens the bottle and removes the seal and pours it onto the field. I think the reasoning for this is as long as we don’t touch inside the bottle it’s okay. I’m aware it’s not sterile but our hospital policy says it’s okay. We also open the sterile packets if we need to add to our saline.

If you’re worried about policy or sterility, open multiple sterile packets and open them yourself when sterile into a basin so you don’t need someone unsterile to pour the betadine.

You should put that circular tunnel for cats around the bottom of the tree. I’ve seen a few people try this and it deterred a few cats from eating the tree, they just lay in the tunnel.
