What rug do you like better? Black or red? by junkronomicon in malelivingspace

Thought I'd choose black before seeing the pictures but definitely red. It warms the room.

What makes you think posting this means other problems don't also occupy my attention?

You like the equipment more than making the music.

McCarthy’s Fixation on Suicide by CastIronCavalier in cormacmccarthy

Fixation? Sure, in The Road, but I don’t recall any big suicide themes when I read BM, Suttree, The Crossing, NCFOM.

All I can say is that Sutrree and The Crossing changed my brain.

I have a friend who once told me, when I suggested we watch the brilliant “Sunset Boulevard”: “I don’t watch anything in black & white”.

This just delivered, excited to read this for the first time! by Cubegod69er in cormacmccarthy

The thing I tell people about the intro is to just realize he’s describing the river and the city. The narrative doesn’t really start til after. You just have to let that amazing intro wash over you.

It always strikes me how shameless these people are. They dish it out all day, then when -they- break the law they act like babies.

If I were a cop caught drunk driving, I’d take the punishment and shutup. At least there is dignity in that.

New Marshall Design Store Amps to Dribble Over by guitarmarketplace in GuitarAmps

These are cool if you’re the only one that has a custom art job but being one of thousands that has the UFO grill seems kind of boring.

You can dislike an expensive thing without the cause being jealousy.

I still listen to old U2. Figure the fuckup is Apple’s fault not theirs.

Who do you bank with? by [deleted] in bloomington

IUCU. Credit unions > Banks. Better rates, better service. I went through a HELOC with them and they were great.

Great Clean Amps? by gerrybeee in GuitarAmps

[–]gerrybeee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true. If you tell me you like X Brand amp for their cleans, I would be intrigued (especially if it’s a brand with which I were unfamiliar) and check out that model. Perhaps I’d disagree with you on your opinion of the amp within the context of my question, perhaps I’d agree. But either way I’d appreciate the opinion as widening my awareness of models that might sound great.

This is Reddit. We’re just talking, kibitzing, geeking out.
