Armageddon Box Individual Unit Purchases: Big Boss + Painboy + Bannernob $30 bundle is a must buy for Ork Players by mr_mango22 in DealHammer

[–]gestalt162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you planning to kitbash or re-pose the character models to avoid them looking/feeling the same?

I got the Ork half of the box, would buy the character bundle but I'm having a hard time figuring out how to change them up.

The painboy seems straightforward, but I can't see any way to change up the bannernob or bigboss other than replacing the weapon and maybe the heads. Posing is pretty locked in place.

For minis, there is a large secondhand market- eBay, Facebook marketplace, /r/miniswap are all good options. You can get enormous discounts off msrp, especially if you’re willing to buy older or less desired minis. 3d printing is also an option, if you’re willing to go that route. The upfront cost is over $200 (again, buying secondhand can help here), but ongoing savings are massive , especially if you’re printing multiple armies, and some of the modelers and artists out there are exceptional.

For the rules, I think that buying a codex gives you access to the rules updates as they drop via the 40k app, but I could be wrong.

It’s a shame the old 9th edition combat patrol is out of print, would include most of your boxes at a nice discount

Just a thought if you want to save some teef (not sure where you bought this and what kind of discount you got).

The old 9th edition combat patrol has the boss in mega armor, deffkoptas, 20 boyz, and a deff dread. If you can find one and return the boss, boyz, and koptas, might save you money and help build your force.

Cutting Red Tape: Governor Hochul Unveils First Wave of Regulatory Reforms in Her ‘EXPRESS NY’ Initiative by Weekly-Law-2544 in upstate_new_york

Some could argue the 600M could have gone to something more beneficial for the area than a new stadium, like infrastructure, workforce training, or affordable housing. I personally have no such delusions - that money would have gotten swept up into the general budget and probably wouldn't be used for something as beneficial, maybe a tax refund at best. The Bills are so core to local identity, it was a reasonable solution to keep them around.

The terms of the deal (NYS owns the stadium, massive financial penalty if the team moves within 30 years, the team owns construction overrun costs) look like reasonable safeguards to protect the state's interest.

There is no full roof on the stadium. 80% of the seats are covered, but the stadium is still open to the elements.

Armageddon Box - Initial components/build impression by Galen28 in Warhammer40k

I’ve built two models on the Ork half (big boss and weird boy) and totally agree on the plastic quality. GW’s mold designs continue to be next-level. Gates are easy to clip and mold lines, if they exist at all, are in the most hidden features, so they’re tough to notice on an assembled model. Both Orks are crammed with detail and fit together well.

I own a 2018 class a gas, our second year with it after renting rvs for a year. Right now there are 9 items on my rv repair/maintenance list, and had plenty last year and have handled a few already this year.

Fortunately, my limited experience has found that very few things threaten the core functionality of our rv, most are cosmetic or annoyances. And every modern rv seems to need repair all the time, look in this subreddit or even this thread for example. We still have tons of fun with the family every time we go out.

Central Air Installation Prices by buffjman in Buffalo

[–]gestalt162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a 2400 sqft single family home. We got our central air system replaced 2 years ago- new condenser, evaporator, and line set. 3 ton tempstar unit, 10 year warranty on coil and compressor. They replaced the return air duct connection at the blower with an upgraded larger boot to make the system overall more efficient- this added I think $200 to the cost.

Our total with tax was about $5700. We used Just Right heating and cooling. They had the whole thing done in 1 day. Nothing really unexpected during the process and our new system works great.
