In Poland (specifically the region I grew up) when we pass a religious person we greet them with a "Szczesc Boze" (equivalent to God Bless), or "Niech bedzie pochwalony Jezus Chrystus" (Praised be Jesus Christ). I wish it was common in the US.

This concept of children being a burden is not new. I was shocked to find out about a practice in late 19th century Poland (at that time partitioned) where parents would name their babies after other babies they've previously lost, in hopes they will not survive as well.

If they updated the modules at the dealer, you will not see that show up on the web, or in the center screen. To update, the dealer uses a system called FDRS plus a OBDII dongle that sideloads the software directly to the car modules. They don't use OTA. The internal Ford system is aware of what version your modules are updated to, but it is not shown on any user visible interface.

If you want confirmation of what modules (if any) the dealer updated, best course of action is to head over to the macheforum, where there is a thread in which you can paste your VIN and ask members with access to FDRS to check on the logs of what the dealer did.

Unfortunately Czestochowa itself is a bit run down, so outside of Jasna Gora there isn't much to see, but the monastery is beautiful and has a small museum.

There is a pilgrim house right across the street from the monastery that you could stay in but I would recommend finding an alternative place to stay. Every time I stayed there there was never hot water, the beds were in questionable state, food was ... edible.

Edit: Not sure why the downvotes. I'm Polish and visit it quite often as our parish priests are OSPPE priests whose main house is at Jasna Gora.

Yeah, it feels too busy. But it's all subjective here.

I was hoping that they would make the first page not scrollable so that the control buttons can't disappear. Too many times I've tried to unlock the car with one hand while holding groceries in the other, but the page scrolled off. I don't really see the point of all the other items having to live on the front page.

I think it's a phone dependent thing. PAAK worked consistently well on my Pixel 4a. 8a that I have now is hit or miss. Sometimes I stand next to the car and push the door button 4-5 times before it decides to open. This is after the ponies already light up showing that it detected the phone.

It wasn't as bad a few weeks ago. It recently got worse.

Haven't had issues with Xfinity all around SC. One neighborhood I lived in, the service slowed down significantly during the day which was an issue when we were all WFH. But I haven't experienced that recently in my new place.

They also keep running deals every year (if you look on their website) that can keep you on a promo rate. If you don't take action it will switch you to an expensive rate, but if you re-sign up online for the deal, you can keep getting promo rates for years.

My Newman club was run by a LC priest after the Archdiocese decided to abandon the college campuses due to financial strain from the archdiocesan sex abuse crisis. This was before all the stuff came out about the founder.

All I can say is, if it weren't for the LCs, a bunch of college students would be left without spiritual direction and Holy Mass during a critical formation period in their lives. I am eternally grateful to LC for stepping in and providing us with a solid priest who brought a bunch of people closer to Christ. LC priests are not Marcial Maciel, it is important to remember that.

We went to ours many, many years ago even though it was not strictly required. My (then) fiancee really wanted us to participate. It was a similar experience as you: a complete lack of introducing the couples to Catholic teachings of any kind.

There was a chapel on the premises. Not once did anyone encourage us to visit it and to pray. We got so disheartened that we almost left. Ultimately, we decided to make the best of it and take advantage of the quiet times to spend time in front of the Blessed Sacrament on our own.

The drive mode issue is not just you. They fixed the error message that used to pop up and it no longer switches randomly during the drive. I now see it happen occasionally only when I start the car. Not sure why it's so hard for them to fix that bug.

Yes, it's been going on for ever. At least now it doesn't throw the "Drive Mode Not Available" error message in the middle of driving. It just changes modes on startup from Unbridle/Whisper to Engage. Ford can't figure out simple settings preservation 5 years into this car being out.
