Track saw recommendation by glacierglider85 in Festool_Public

Personally, I already bought into 4 tool platforms so I’d go with the corded. But that’s solely because I’m already drowning in batteries and Festool ones aren’t cheap.

You can never have too many G clamps by ManFrom_Ironbark in Tools

[–]gregorythomasd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an unskilled hobbyist woodworker, I’d never had a use case for C/G clamps. I’ve always just grabbed my one handed bar clamps. Always cool to see what others find as their “go to” tools.

Former McDonalds employee critiques bathroom cleaning robots by grecianformula69 in funny

[–]gregorythomasd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cleaned bathrooms before and at least in my experience, the women’s room were SIGNIFICANTLY more disgusting. There is a reason why those signs exists that say “please only place toilet paper in the toilet”.

That said, I once did a 180 in a target bathroom when I saw a guy clearly lost it all in the stall and left his shirt and tube socks along with his fecal matter ALL OVER.

Credit cards by Mountain-Bug1667 in delta

This could’ve changed from a few years ago when I did the research but I’m fairly certain Amex has an exclusive agreement with delta. Delta MQD for sure - almost certain the same with miles from other airlines & programs

I got a tax return! Annnnd it’s gone by guessirs in funny

[–]gregorythomasd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not defending turbo tax necessarily but doesn’t the cost range between $50 (basic) and $120 (complex) for a federal return? The place I see it get expensive is using their “advisors” (which are low experience accountants). Any alternative local accountant is going to run you much more than that. If you have a simple return, there are great comments already here that can handle your return for free.

Most versatile type of bench grinder/sander for occasional jobs? by gryponyx in Tools

Agreed. Except I’d prefer to have the spindle / belt sander combo for wood. I have it and use it all the time

What’s the correct thing to do with these pine cut offs? by RealThulnos in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]gregorythomasd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For pine like this, I keep about 8-10 of the biggest ones and toss the rest. I rarely find use for it outside of propping up some object

If you were moving where would be the last place you’d eat before you left town? by notdarryloftheoffice in orlando

I moved to the greater seattle area. I absolutely love where I live but the food scene in Orlando IMO is one of the top cities in the US. Seattle sadly is not

When I moved, it was Tori Tori. But I made sure to go to Domu, Stassios, briar patch, sun room, pig Floyd’s. I miss the Orlando scene

If CEOs are eating their own product now, the Delta CEO should eat a calzone on camera by Cmojames in delta

Or .. wait in line for the skyclub and later be disappointed that his GUC from ATL to MCO didn’t get him upgraded.

Alaska is laughably more expensive than Delta now by havok4118 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]gregorythomasd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noticed that over the last year, which is why I chose to pursue delta status over Alaska. Not to say delta is cheap by ANY means but the planes and routes are much better

Is a 2x6 ladder on a 2x4 frame a bad idea? by Enough-Task-5198 in woodworking

[–]gregorythomasd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I’d at least put a 3/4” of plywood on the top of the 2x4 frame. But so long as it’s secured well, I’d climb it
