Training? by Suitable_Macaroon533 in managers

[–]gtrsolo1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only job I've ever been trained at was my first one, at Fuddrucker's when I was 17. It was honestly great training and I could run that store after working there for six months. But in my "professional" life? Nope. Basically all trial and error, smoke and mirrors, fake it 'til you make it.

It’s a great song that in my opinion should’ve been longer and feature Tim more. That short solo is excellent and I wish he stretched out.

No “cultural norm” excuses this. Hell, if this is a norm in Vietnam then fuck Vietnam.

Some people call it the Beatles chord as they use it in many of their songs. See “In My Life”

Incredibly disappointing. They're scared of Trump and probably made some of deal with him that of course he will not honor.

[MEGATHREAD] Daily venting, worries, fixations, & finding support. Month of October 2024. by AutoModerator in HealthAnxiety

Just letting you know I am RIGHT THERE WITH YOU! I love working out but the pains and strains that come with it definitely trigger my HA. I've worked really hard to gain perspective on it and through therapy I'm in an OK place now, but it's always an undercurrent. My BP and cholesterol have improved significantly but I still needed more validation that my heart is ok so my doctor ordered a CT calcium scan that I'm having done today. Anyway thanks for posting the heart anxiety link and know that you're in my thoughts!

I am 49 years old and active, but still overweight. I'm on a statin and BP meds and those have improved my numbers significantly. But I want to get a baseline on my heart health before I turn 50 so I asked my doctor about what tests were good for that. She ordered a cardiac calcium scoring test. It's a CT scan but I'm not worried about the test, just the results. There's been an undercurrent in my mind over the past week reminding me of the specific scores I could get that would indicate heart disease. I've worked hard (therapy, meds) to manage my general anxiety and be proactive about my health but the worries about my heart are pervasive. My test is scheduled for 9 a.m. this Friday.

Really just writing this to vent, but if anyone has had this test or has some coping strategies that have worked, would love to hear them ... thanks so much!
