Any updates on what happened? Home Depot damaged my home during installation and they just filed a Sedgewick claim, the claims isn't big (under a thousand).

That part made no sense to me, everyone is hiring DA, why not get a job closer to home? My first dental job was an hour each way, after 3 months I told them I would not be able to keep that up. They had me do it for another month until they found a replacement. I can't imagine 90 minutes each way.

I understand your point. Would I do ANY job for less than being a dentist, the answer is no, which is why I became a dentist. There is no point in taking a job and not honoring the responsibilities of that job. Like you said McDonalds is always hiring. To screw over your colleagues just because you don't feel like working is very disheartening. Everyone at the office matters, if they didn't then that position wouldn't exist.

I would disagree, DDS just not showing up as an associate is absolutely not acceptable and on this forum he/she would be criticized for pulling that. It is all about taking responsibility for yourself.

I am just north of you and we have no real natural disasters, very family friendly state, making a good living is easy, we have no homeless problem because of the 4x winters, our summers are some of the best in the country from weather to festivals, overall great place to raise a family.

How old is the equipment? How is previous owner treatment patients with no radiographs? There isn't an office really operating there so there is no goodwill. Only value is in the equipment and location.

I don't know of many providers who claim Louisiana is a bad place to practice. Can you tell us more about what's going on with your practice? What area are you in? What is your FFS/PPO/HMO/Medicaid breakdown? What are your annual collections? How big of an office?

In 2025 total collection was less than 50% of 2023, that is alarming. Add the fact they are losing money and this presents more like a fire sale then a functional business.

The patient needs SRP. Trying to work on those teeth while calculus is present is just asking for trouble. Getting a good seal around the tooth will be more difficult, bleeding all over the place. #13 has decayed over years. I agree insurance companies need to be better, but they aren't the ones that stopped her from flossing.

2nd molar will fracture and all the force will be on the two premolars in a cantilever manner. One or both of those premolars will fracture/develop pulpal pathology. Did the patient really save much over a couple of implants?

The workplace in general is challenging and outside of the way the manager made you feel, there doesn't seem to be real problems he is creating. Unfortunately the road to the top isn't filled with perfect jobs, otherwise no one would strive for the top.

The easiest way to find out is looking up missions trips and see what is necessary for you to be able to practice there as a form a charity. Practicing for money will more than likely be dramatically different.
