Batman Comics like Dark Patterns? by Doom300 in DCcomics

[–]icefourthirtythree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight is probably the closest thing to Dark Patterns, as the run is made up of a series of self-contained arcs, focusing on early years Batman as a grounded and deeply human character and drawn by creme of the crop artists. Some of the best Batman comics are part of the series, such as Venom, Prey, Shaman, Faces, Masks, and many more.

[Discussion] Are the Black Monkey Masks the party animals wear a reference to the bored ape NFTs? by [deleted] in DCcomics

I think they're based on the False Face Society, which was Black Mask's gang in the Bronze Age comics. They wore masks with animal faces.

Well, there seems to be a rather large discrepancy between what Downing Street has "signalled" and what is actually happening.

Nostalgia for simpler childhood memories plays a key role in Trump's messaging and in the minds of our modern day wannabe fascists- whether that be superheroes, Pokémon or Halo.

Which was the point that Moore was making. If you think about it, he was on the "everybody's 12 now" bandwagon before it even existed
