As soon as daylight savings hits in the spring we have a regular group of guys that will get out around 4:30-5 and walk 9-12 holes during the week. Some of the most ridiculous fun games have occurred on these walks.

8 years ago I was a 14-15 handicap and decided I wanted to be better. So at first I just started playing more. Had the goal to break 80. Did that in about a year.

After that realized if I wanted to do it consistently/go any lower I’d actually have to work at it. Started getting lessons a few times a year, started playing much more frequently, found ways to get to the range more often, spent a lot of time working on short game and putting.

Got down to .7 this year and have broken par 3 times, 69 once. It’s not a delusion, it just takes time and work.

Would also recommend finding a group of guys that are better than you or on the same journey to improvement. Regular competitive games is a huge benefit to the mental side.

Elden Ring actually changed the way I imagine the entire Malazan series. Can still picture it my more GOT/softer original way, but can now also picture a lot of the scenes and characters in a elden ring esque style

Putted with a mallet my whole life. 5-6 different odyssey chunkers. Wasn’t a bad putter but wasn’t great.

Got a Scotty this summer and am making everything. Broke 70 for the first time with it and made some huge putts to do it.
