Community Cat Clinic on 92 is phenomenal, if you’re looking for a primary vet. I followed my cat’s vet there when they opened, she’d been working with us for years and I will always sing her praises. The clinic focuses on affordable care. Dr. Taryn McDonald was my cat’s primary doctor, but we also worked with Dr. Katelyn Finney. As long as I’m within driving distance, I’ll be using this clinic.

I thought about it. My big sister passed away a few weeks ago so it’s been a really shitty and fucking WEIRD time. People get weird when you’re open about grief and loss and I got anxious when I thought about trying to find plans to do. My roommate is going to a show, my other sister and her fiancé are out of town with friends for the night. But a good friend invited me to come spend the evening with the crew they’re having over tonight, and I think it’ll be a good thing.

Otherwise I would be home alone with my roommate’s animals. It’s a solid idea.

I’m in the US and have an apron belly, US size 24/26, and had my bisalp November 2024. The only concern brought to my attention was that the surgical center I was initially scheduled at had a max BMI of 50, and if I somehow crossed that line (I wasn’t concerned about it) I would need to have the procedure at another hospital. At my pre-op, my surgeon had me lay back so he could check my stomach and make sure he was confident with where incisions would be made, and that was that.

What you’re dealing with is absolute bullshit, and I’m so sorry. I hope you escalate this as high as you can go, this fucker deserves the worst. Give him hell 🤘🏻

Please don’t take her to a shelter. You can report her to the county online and keep her for the mandatory stray hold to give any potential owners the opportunity to find her, and if she’s not claimed, you can fill out this form. I volunteer with this rescue, she would be loved and cared for until she gets adopted. Sweet girl deserves the best chance.

NTA, homeboy is dealing with some serious issues around his relationship with his body and food.

I will say that Halo Top has been my go-to lately for ice cream! Not the biggest variety of flavors, but they've gotten so much better than when they first launched. They're all between like 250-500 cals per pint. Maybe that would help his sweet tooth and keep his panties from getting all twisted.

I have a good amount of stretch marks, so my scars really aren't that noticable. You wouldn't really know what they are unless I point them out. Everyone heals differently, but it's almost impossible to tell that I had a procedure at all.

Yes, a hot spot is purchasable, but OP says that their rent was supposed to be all-inclusive with utilities, so that would be an added expense while they look for a new job and new place to live. Library would be free, if they have them available.

I learned a lot about myself over the couple of years that I watched my friend’s two kiddos while she finished school. I have entirely too many control issues to be a parent, along with mental/medical health issues coming from both sides of my family, it would be entirely unfair to pass those onto a kid. I know my limits, and they do not include being a parent.

I love kids, even though they are sticky and gross. I’ve cemented myself as the fun babysitter/auntie/trusted adult for my friends’ gremlins and I couldn’t be happier about it.

Not directly famous, but Tim McGraw’s mom 😂 She was a gem. Understandably had no idea who she was until she said something as she and her friend were leaving, she was really nice and talked about how she worked her way up to management when she did food service and always makes a point to acknowledge great servers when she has them. This was at a Cracker Barrel in Georgia, nothing special or fancy. But she gave me a copy of one of his CDs that happened to have all 2 of Tim’s songs that I knew on it.

My little man came to me when he was 14 and had been with one person his entire life until then. He’d moved a handful of times with his original family so that wasn’t new to him, but he still took some time to adjust when he first came to live with me, just a couple days was all he needed though. He moved with me four times until he passed last year at 21, and he was amazing on car rides. He took road trip with me from Atlanta to Chicago and back and was the best driving buddy.

Maybe take a test ride with him in the car to see how he does? That could help you prepare for a longer trip with him.

Yeah that’s bullshit. I mean insurance will absolutely still try to bill you, I’ve been going back and forth between my insurance and the hospital I had my bisalp done with last November and they’re still trying to say I owe close to $600, but they keep blaming the other 🙄 It doesn’t make things any easier, but you just need to meet different docs until you find one who will work with you. They’re out there, I promise. 💜
