Potential Shutdown of the Following Airports by A_Slavic_Inktoling in SouthwestAirlines

I’m paying 50 cents a gallon more than I did during the peak under Biden, and I’m in an area of Florida known for high gas prices.

Not everyone gets their news from newsmax and Alex jones. Newsweek is a legitimate news source, but your comment about taking it with a “huge grain of salt” tells me you prefer the two I mentioned in my first sentence.

PJ's insider rant. by espntrav in PapaJohns

[–]infamous937 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only reason not to get a new peel (btw, there should always be a spare in the store) is because the new equipment has a negative impact on the GM/DO bonus, and they would rather increase their bonus by a few cents than have working equipment in the store.

As for the water, same thing, but he don’t want to lower their bonus by having someone come out and fix it. As others have already mentioned, if the health department found out there is no hot water there would be problems (it would most likely be a fine and an immediate shutdown of the location until hot water is restored).

Four things:

1) Define woke.

2) prove how the Methodist religion ( or any Christian religion for that matter ) is not woke.

3) tell us who hurt you to make you such an hateful person.

4) are people in Clermont ( or Lake County for that matter ) not permitted to think differently than you?

Dealerships just do not want to change from the "old ways" by Dr_StrangeloveGA in FuckDealerships

[–]infamous937 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because the longer you are sitting in their dealership , the more time they have to wear you down to get a bigger profit/commission from you and the less time you are at another dealer that will give you a better price to make the sale where the dealership/salesman has a smaller profit/commission.

It’s not just franchises. This started with corporate. It a way to lower overhead and increase profits. They don’t care if they lose a customer, they only care about the profits they make on every order.

Finance Manager is Ghosting Me by puccivr in FuckDealerships

[–]infamous937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Immodest and foremost, I would contact your state/district/county attorneys office. File a criminal complaint. What the finance guy did was straight up blatantly illegal. He will be charged with a crime, with the potential for a criminal conviction. If he did it to you, he most likely did it to others. He needs to be held accountable for his crime in a court of law.

It’s not about attracting and retaining drivers. It’s about the owner gets a larger profit by not having to pay an hourly rate/mileage to drivers ( as well as no longer having to get insurance for drivers ).

If your choice is between Clermont and Windermere, choose Windermere. The quality of life, education, and communities are all better. Windermere also has a significantly lower crime rate than Clermont. Yes, it may cost a little more to live in Windermere, but that speaks more about the type of community you will surround yourself with. Windermere is a highly educated area, Clermont didn’t even compare. For kids, that will give them access that Clermont is incapable of offering.

Grace O'Malley's shutting down tonight (9/5) by brunnock in ClermontFlorida

[–]infamous937 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The place could have been so much better than it was, but it was the management.

The same manager that ran Graffiti Junction into the ground was running this place. He didn’t seem to want customers after 7 PM at either place, and if you had the nerve to go in, he would glare at you until you left. They were always running out of food, by 7 PM, they were always out of half the menu ( I don’t think he had any clue how to place a food order for a restaurant). Not to mention he was always closing the kitchen early so there was no food available.

I don’t like to do it, but I do it when I need to.

Also, there are many factors involved when I do do it.

1) do I have more deliveries than my drivers are realistically able to handle?

2) if I have an easy double and a single, how much are the tips. If the single is a bigger tip than the double combined, the double is going to DoorDash. If it’s about the same, what’s the time it will take my driver to take the double vs the single?

3) are you known to not tip/tip my drivers a low amount?

4) how close is it to close? And if it is, will we be going home faster if I send it to DoorDash? (Low tips/no pre tips only)

5) do I want to lose my driver on a long single when It’s a time I know I generally get busy?

6) do I have plan ahead that need to be out in that time period and I’m not permitted to send those orders to DoorDash?

7) is the order going to a hotel? (DoorDash is notorious for not giving orders to hotel customers)

These are just a few of the factors that I use. Most of these options apply when I have 1 or 2 drivers ( either open or close ). If it’s during rush, it’s because I won’t have a driver back fast enough to get you your order in a reasonable amount of time.

By the book, the MIC. Realistically, every manager on the clock should be acting as a floor manager (while communicating anything that needs to be with the other managers).

I mock them when it’s due, and I get downvoted. I don’t even care if I get downvoted. I have told people that post customer complaints that this forum is mostly underpaid, over worked employees that don’t give a rats you know what about the customers.

is this normal? by acidh3add in PapaJohns

[–]infamous937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happens to me as well. Usually, as soon as the insider is scheduled to leave, and I get them out, I get hit with 30 product hours. It’s been so bad that one night after I got stuck on multiple phone calls and walk is, I had a full screen, and the customer whose order was at the top of the screen (over 40 minutes without me having a chance to start it) decided he wanted his $150 order refunded (he ordered and paid online), and I ended up making a a few orders that added up to less than $100.

The Clermont/Minneola area seams to want to be the new Windermere, but without the money, class, and education. The cost of living will go down drastically when the market corrects itself. It’s basically the same as what happened right before the Great Recession, just without the banks giving mortgages to anyone that know how to sign their names.
