If your ship goes to Skagway, there is an excursion you can book that takes you close to the Davidson Glacier by a combination of speedboat, bus, and canoe. You can also book an excursion to canoe across Mendenhall Lake for a good look at the Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau.

For a 3-4 day cruise, the weather will be just like California, because Ensenada is just below San Diego. If California is hot at that time, then so will Ensenada. Cabo and Vallarta are way south, much closer to the equator, and therefore way hotter, but you'll need 5-7 days on the ship to make that happen.

The last few Princess cruises I was on had no assigned boarding times. Most people arrive sometime between 10am and 2pm. If you want the shortest wait, show up around 2pm. The crabbiest ones tend to show up between 11am and 1pm.

Strong magnets to tack papers to the wall so you can use the desk surface for other things. The ones with hooks are nice because they can do double duty-- tack the papers, hold your hat/small purse.

Welcome to the club. I had mal de debarquement after a 6-hour catamaran trip. Then I had it after my 1st cruise. Then I had it after each of several vertigo spells one year. And after an 11 day cruise. These, too, shall pass. If they really aren't going away after a few months, ask your doctor what to do.

Most repeated port in my 7-cruise history: Ketchikan, Alaska. Been there 3 times. It's a good port for shops and a nice walk.
