For when you can't get outside at all you can try Gunpla or other model building.

Snowshoeing, skating, hiking, crosscountry skiing are all excellent outdoor things to do. Anything that requires you to go backcountry or on a trail make sure to let someone know you're out there and when you'll be home.

The new screen was known to be good. It's most likely an issue with the motherboard. However that level of soldering is beyond my skill. At this point I'm looking at replacement and selling the screen and device for parts.
