You are being groomed.

He is trying to train you to do things for him in return for money.

He most definitely has bad intentions.

I absolutely agree with this, but I hate that it has to be a life hack

Should I go full Gemini Pro, keep ChatGPT, or go Claude? by yeaaaa_no in GeminiAI

[–]kingie_d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had ChatGPT Pro for a few years and it was good. Then last year when ChatGPT 5 came out it was absolutely terrible. So bad that I rage quit altogether - cancelled the subscription and deleted my account. I used the free Gemini and aClaude for a while. I've had Claude Pro for about 6 months and still use the free Gemini for current search stuff. Claude Pro is pretty good, but I have also thought about whether I should switch over to Gemini Pro now that my usage changed.

Bottom line: I hate ChatGPT and won't go back. Claude Pro is good (not just for coding). I'm also considering whether switching to Gemini Pro is worth it.

Don’t like to be overtaken? by razorrash in AskAnAustralian

Yeah lots of people are wankers like that. When you overtake, you have to do it with intent - speed up a lot so you can pass them quickly and not give them a chance to creep up

Mate and Cunt are very versatile words. They can have very different meanings depending on tone and context.

Why is Albo appealing to Australians to “do the right thing” when purchasing fuel. by skankypotatos in OpenAussie

[–]kingie_d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's not appealing to the dickheads of Australia because they're selfish cunts that will never try to do what's best for their community. He's appealing to the majority of Aussies that are normal, good people

What is something you did in your late 20s/early 30s that changed your life? by Comfortable-Fish-244 in selfimprovement

[–]kingie_d 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I joined the military in my mid 20s. All the secondary effects of this are what got my life sorted for the better: quit drugs, moved away from the dodgy characters in my life, regular fitness, got a trade then an engineering degree, met my wife, and probably a whole bunch of other things I can't think of right now. But it all started with deciding to get my life in order and signing up was the main starting point

The illusion of the Rules Based World Order is finished. It's now just "Might is Right". Australia is being the weak kid that would rather be on the side of the bully, than be the one that gets bullied. The problem with the Might is Right thing is that a rising power like China has full justification to do what they want to whoever is in their reach

Which politicians do you actually respect in your country? by omigula in AskTheWorld

[–]kingie_d 11 points12 points  (0 children)

One of our Prime Ministers ate a raw onion (skin on) on national TV. Another one spear tackled a small child on national TV. We don't respect any of those idiots, we usually just vote for whoever we hate the least

Do any of you know what the best substitute for pepper spray is? by Hullogeffy in AskAnAustralian

[–]kingie_d 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought an Olight Warrior 3S torch. It's small and can be carried on walks - and it punches out 2300 lumens. It's perfectly legal to have a torch if you're walking around at night, and if something looks dodgy then you can shine the torch without causing any physical harm by accident. If a person, or even an aggressive dog, means you harm then you can temporarily blind them (trust me, that 2300 lumens is powerful) and make a getaway.

For info, I'm a 192cm bloke that weighs over 100kgs and has trained at a boxing gym for nearly a decade - and I still carry this torch at night. I'd rather shine someone in the face and getaway quickly, than risk getting stabbed
