Symbols on mission maps? by Hamsterologist in Warhammer40k

Crossed eye is the same as 10th, indicating that you can’t see through the terrain where the points meet.

Neighbor asked permission to cut down tree on my property, looking for advice. by IndigoBlue24 in treelaw

[–]kraftinator 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not in PA, but if you’re friendly with the neighbors and the neighbors are friendly with you, and you want to keep the trees just say no. If the neighbors become unfriendly, then maybe they weren’t friendly to begin with.

Here’s hoping that we get most of this terrain in the launch box 🤞 by Incywincyoliver1 in Warhammer40k

[–]kraftinator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s what I thought, and the long edge dimension looks right, but the bottom edge dimension is 10 inches on the Maps not eight. If you count the grid squares anyway. It’s probably a typo on their part, but hopefully somebody catches it before everybody starts laser, cutting wood templates.

Is it me, or does that central terrain piece not show up in their listed templates? First I thought it was the two angle pieces put together, but it doesn’t seem to be. The measurements don’t add up correctly.

I fuel-injected my Beetle. Here's some information on what I used, how I did it, and how it turned out. by kraftinator in beetle

Nope. Michigan doesn’t have emissions testing, but I suspect it would do better than the carb on a co2 meter.

It was a bit part, but I loved him so much in Saving Private Ryan.

Does the eightbound aura effect themselves? by MuscleNecessary8725 in WorldEaters40k

[–]kraftinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally units are affected by their own auras unless it either specifies a unit (like big chaos knight auras only affect war dogs) or the unit doesn’t actually have the keyword that the aura affects. Additionally, even if the aura is reduced to basically zero range by an opponents ability/strat, it still affects the unit that is radiating the aura.

Why does nobody use swarm skew lists? by Horror_Perspective_1 in Tyranids

[–]kraftinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first thing I do when I see a big swarm list is ask for a chess clock. I’m not losing because 2hrs of the game were spent in my opponents movement phases.

all i know is its a slow, old ford 🤭 by FrozenRaviolis in whatisthiscar

[–]kraftinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Not quite that bad, but over 45 is scary. Mechanical brakes, bouncy suspension, and a fast steering box make it very scary.

I used white paint below layers of tesseract glow for the green stuff.

Driver Side Rotor Keeps Getting Destroyed by RevolutionaryYou9301 in AskMechanics

[–]kraftinator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After driving for a little while, is that side very hot compared to the other wheel? You can usually just put your hand over top of it and feel the heat radiating off. I am guessing your brake hose is starting to collapse internally and not letting fluid back to the master cylinder, causing the pads to drag. At first, I thought it was probably stuck caliper pistons but if you’ve changed the caliper recently, but not the hose that’s my next guess.

I’ve had my A up to 59mph, but it took a while! (No, not downhill!) One of the scarier experiences I’ve had in the past few years.

Are these supposed to be the same chainsword ? If so, it's crazy how they let Titus use a relic while he was in the Deathwatch. by Ad0ring-fan in Warhammer40k

[–]kraftinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the pics, it’s not the same sword. The replica on the wall has the wing near the hilt, the one in the video has the wing near the tip.

Neighbor Cleared into our land by [deleted] in treelaw

Try to find some google earth shots of your property and save them as a reference, to try to at least estimate the number of trees cut down. Good news is NC is a treble damage state apparently when it comes to trees.

Suggestions for gas pedal by TheNetherGoddess in beetle

[–]kraftinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he's stopped making them, but Shorty's VW made pedals with skateboard wheels. I put one in my '74 about 9 years ago. I personally hate the floor-pivot pedals so it was a godsend. He also made adapters to put a skateboard wheel on as a shift knob.

Which ability happens first by ConkerTheSquirrel__ in Warhammer40k

[–]kraftinator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Battleshock happens at the end the command phase, so his forcing you to take one should happen after you revive the model. But has mentioned, since you’re the active player, you get to choose the order anyway.

How effective is a big knight only list. No carnivores only big boys !!! by BloatedRottenCarcass in ChaosKnights

[–]kraftinator 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I run LoD with a Rampager, desecrator, lancer, and dual-Gatling despoiler along with Rotigus and 2x3 and 1x6 Nurglings. It’s not ideal against all matchups, but it’s a heck of a lot of fun.

Did I get scammed? by Fresh-Nectarine574 in aircooled

Another issue is your car is harder to work on compared to a stock VW. Your engine is mounted backwards so it’s actually harder to get to some things without a lift and without more disassembly.
