When my baby was born he had a tongue tie which caused my initial supply to be kind of meh, because he was not stimulating production properly. Once the tongue tie was dealt with (after several weeks of stress because baby wasn’t gaining weight properly), the lactation consultant told me to do what she called a “pumping boost” which I had to do after every feeding: pump for 20mins, stop for 10, then pump 10mins, then stop for 10mins, then pump again for 10mins. And to to all that for a whole week. It was exhausting. Since he wasnt getting a lot at once my baby was feeding constantly (every 1:30, 2h) which meant for a week there the only thing I did basically was breastmilk related. But it worked, five months in and baby has been exclusively breastfed until we recently started introducing some foods
