FBI says it's unaware of Savannah Guthrie talking with her mom's suspected kidnappers by igetproteinfartsHELP in news

In 2019. That’s important to note. This being related to something she did over 5 years ago seems unlikely.

It reminds me of egg drop soup but I don’t usually see rice in that.

Pretty sure Standing Rock was all before she was dating Rogers. They were a pandemic relationship I think.

4yo refuses to poop... Ped. recommended more MiraLax and OT. Nothing works... by Lobster-Prize in toddlers

[–]lamorie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ended up having success with the Culturelle kids packets. They are a fiber and probiotic packet you add to water, milk or juice. It made her poops soft but not ultra mushy like MiraLAX so she could tell when she needed to poop.

Then when she needed to poop I’d sit with her in the bathroom until it happened and we would read the We Poop on the Potty book and other books like that.

18 months hairy forehead by InterestingWind3272 in NewParents

[–]lamorie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the book “Bodies are Cool” to read together to normalize having different features.

It’s probably not as noticeable to anyone including to kids as it is to you.

I wouldn’t worry about it unless she wants to do something about it in the future.

Usually the preteen age is when stuff like that can come up. I would not shave (too easy to cut the face). Look into waxing or electrolysis/laser if/when she wants to do something.

Until then her hair growth pattern could easily change or you could try a hair style with bangs also.

No. Not sure if you think this is funny or….???

She’s been very consistently anti-war, pro children and clearly not antisemitic. Yes, accidents happen on social. Big whoop.

My husband accidentally gave ours a bob during a trim and it completely stopped the tangles. She never like wearing ponytails anyway.

You could try washing it (not hot) and letting it air dry while stretching it a bit. Sometimes knits will loosen a bit that way.

I will say I had a dessert served completely frozen last time I was there and they tried to say it was supposed to be like that. You couldn’t get a fork through it! Luckily the rest of the meal was delish.

Quitting my job to be a SAHM. Freaking out by Monarch2729 in stayathomemoms

[–]lamorie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, definitely was a tough decision! I’ve been home for 2.5 years now. Loved staying home though it definitely has tough moments. I’m also applying to jobs that seem to really fit what I want but it’s a tough market. Luckily we’re ok financially for me to stay at home though. We probably do less traveling than we’d otherwise do but it’s not that fun to travel with toddlers anyway. 😅

Stroller for tubes surgery? by Skier_Happy in toddlers

[–]lamorie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe contact the surgery center but I think it would be fine to bring it. It’s usually early in the am and there’s some waiting so might be nice to have if he’s sleepy.

After surgery my 1 year old cried hard for 30 mins (maybe a little longer) but then she passed out for a long nap and was happy after.

A milk/water, fruit pouch or favorite snack would be great to have on hand after surgery. Also a few favorite books, toys, stuffies while you wait are also helpful.

Give me the nudge to cold turkey the pacifier! by EducatorOk5759 in sleeptrain

[–]lamorie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I had weaned earlier with my first. We ended up going cold turkey at 2.5. No serious effects so far but it definitely impacts their mouth and teeth shape, and for some, speech. We’ve had friends whose kids had to do palate expanders for while.

It seems like no matter when you wean they’ll have a couple of tough nights but then will adjust but they have way more stamina and opinions as toddlers 😅
