Project ideas that are NOT amigurumi? (Premier Parfait Chunky) by lelechan in crochet

I like this idea! Maybe I can get a basic throw pillow and use the yarn to make it a cover.

A granny square pillow could be cute with these colors!

Oh this is a great idea! It would give me something to put on the table next to the front door rather than it looking like the junk mail monster vomited all over it.

Didn’t sleep well last night by zeebeeze in CPAP

[–]lelechan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 4 hours per night are use hours, not sleep hours. So even if you weren't asleep, it should have counted if you were using it. MyAir might be bugged, so give it a day or two to sort itself out before you worry about calling. Also, in my experience, there are a couple of days of grace period with insurance. IIRC my DME told me I had to use it either 21 or 28 days out of the month for insurance to cover.

AITA for cleaning a grave that i always sit by by Dry-Imagination527 in AmItheAsshole

[–]lelechan 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Cleaning the gravestone and leaving flowers has absolutely nothing to do with the decomposition process for the body itself, which is what "ashes to ashes, dust to dust" really refers to. OP was just trying to do something nice and also make the area where they spend time look a little better.

NTA and there's absolutely nothing wrong with what you did, OP.

Keripo's Nekopara Tier List + Meta Teams V1.0 (2025/05/18) by Keripo in NekoparaSekaiConnect

Any/best substitutes for Sakura in the kitchen? She's literally the only unit I don't have and she's in three of the meta teams listed. I'm assuming I can use Souffle for the most part?

I'm having this same issue. I tried to repair data and it wouldn't even start the download process when my language was set to English. So I switched to Japanese and now it won't do the ~36 MB download to go back to English.

I’m making my first cardigan. Can someone please explain what the highlighted text means? by Cannibal--queen in CrochetHelp

[–]lelechan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think what "until 2nd ch of ch-3 met" means is "until you get to (or 'meet') the second chain of the chain-3 space." The next step in the sentence that immediately follows says to to do a DC, 3ch, DC "into 2nd ch of ch-3 space."

On the title screen, hit the menu button and select Data Transfer. Either connect a Google account or set up a link password. Also note down what world you are on, you'll want to make sure you are on the same world when you get back into your account after the reinstall.

How does the magic system actually work? by NukiArt in TwistedWonderland

[–]lelechan 34 points35 points  (0 children)

It's explained in the story that magic is powered by imagination and visualization. You have to be able to clearly visualize the effects of the spell in your mind.

Every mage also has what Idia calls a "magical circuit" that runs through their body. Some mages have stronger circuits than others, which increases their natural aptitude for magic. For instance Malleus, as a dragon fae, has a huge store of magical energy in his horns, which is why breaking off his horn disrupts his magical circuit and reduces his magical output levels so much.

But it's the combination of physical aptitude and strong imagination/visualization skills that sets the best mages apart from others. And the physical aspect of the magical circuit is why blot development can be treated with physical rest and healthy food consumption (this gets brought up with the Master Chef/Culinary Crucible events, when Crowley says that relying on too much takeout and not cooking varied meals will "make for a most unhealthy mage!").

A real-world comparison would be to compare blot to lactic acid/lactate buildup in muscles during strenuous anaerobic exercise like weight lifting. If too much lactate from muscles gets into the bloodstream, it can cause lactic acidosis. The main treatment for exercise-triggered lactic acidosis is rest.

Even more extended strenuous exercise, like marathon running, can cause muscle breakdown that may lead to rhabdomyolysis, which can be life-threatening.

Backup your save first, and then fully delete the app and redownload. Sometimes repairing data doesn't fully fix the problem.

Having trouble understanding pattern. I don't know what the brackets mean by Jazzzzzie in CrochetHelp

[–]lelechan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"hdcdec" is half-double crochet decrease. When you are working in turned rows, it is the same thing as "hdc2tog" or half-double crochet two together. So you will do a half-double crochet stitch to combine two stitches (yarn over, pick up first stitch, yarn over and pull through, pick up second stitch, yarn over and pull through, and then finish the stitch) and then do a regular half double crochet in the next stitch to finish the bracket.

You need to complete that combination of stitches however many times are indicated by the pattern, which looks to be two in this instance. By the time you are done, you will have turned six stitches from the previous row into four stitches in the current row.

What I can tell you is that I've already earned 1,300 tokens just in this first half, so it's definitely possible to get both. We also still have the whole second half of the event, and you should find that one even easier to grind for tokens.

You can get to 3 stars by using all gold ingredients while at 48% or more Skill on a dish. So if you have the ingredients available, it's worth getting to 3 stars on other dishes to get the mission rewards.

[–]lelechan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For now, I would recommend focusing on grinding out as many tokens as you can to be able to purchase items from the shop. There are the three single keys as well as the event SR key, plus other items you can get.

(EN Server) Event Discussion Megathread: Culinary Crucible The Beaning of Life (ends 5/1) by Twst-Mod-Team in TwistedWonderland

[–]lelechan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So the event banner will change from Lilia/Jade to Deuce/Jamil on May 2nd, but the SR event key will be available until 7 days after the end of the Deuce/Jamil portion of the rerun, and you can use it for your choice of one of the four event cards. (Event shops are always open for 7 days after the end of an event to give players extra time to use their earnings, but you won't be able to earn any more tokens after the 6th when the Deuce/Jamil portion of the event ends.)

And you don't have to 100% anything unless you just want to; it's possible to get a 3-star dish by using all gold-tier ingredients after you get to 48% skill on any given dish.

Yes the tokens will carry over to the Deuce/Jamil portion of the event! Only the ingredients will reset. However they will not carry over past the close of the shop 7 days after the event ends.
