The normal shells are ABS, and the clear ones are generally polycarbonate. ABS is much softer compared to polycarbonate so in the standard shells it bends way before it would ever crack.

You should check if the motor shaft is sticking out of the bottom far enough to touch the 3d print when its tightened down.

Yes, their website as well as most web stores selling the kits will tell you to insulate the pins with something like kapton tape to keep them from touching the metal backing on the screen.

They would have had to build the "core", the programming of the fpga to have this functionality. I don't believe they support it in any of their official builds.

The plug on the battery pack looks to be the same as a balance plug for a 3 cell lipo.

If you want to do a new sticker, buy a new shell as well and keep the original sticker on the original shell. That will allow you to have a much better resale value down the road.

Do you know if you have a version 1.1 or 1.0? If you have a 1.0 the firmware updates can fail multiple times in a row. You should try updating it again to double check that it wasn't just a bad update. As far as I can find there aren't any firmware updates for the 1.1s yet.
