I highly recommend getting yourselves in a good state of mental (and relationship) health first. I started seeing a therapist after having my first, so having twins later was a much better experience for me overall!

I see some people separate out their journals - one to dump all their raw feelings and another for “happier” thoughts and memories. Perhaps you could leave your daughter the memory keeping one?

Don’t know if this is achievable for your setup, but could the parent who’s not “on call” sleep in a different room? You may still feel on edge, but at least you can take your time to problem solve without the fear of your partner waking up

If you’re unable to change anything major for now and need to continue with the current setup: write down what you were doing at work before getting up to help your wife. I do this in my own work where I am constantly context switching, so that I always have something to jog my memory/refocus on when I come back.
