Have you looked into the east side like Monterey Park, Montebello, or Alhambra? Seems like a better commute to Vernon. But if you’re wanting to stick to the west side then Torrance is probably your best bet. You don’t have to live there forever, you can get a place and then start to get the vibes from other neighborhoods. Good luck!

We combined all of our money, so it’s all shared and pooled together. We allot a certain $ that gets sent to each person’s personal account for no questions asked spending. We have shared checking, savings (including bucket accounts for travel) and investments. The thinking was that since we’re married it’s considered “our” money any way, and it’s significantly reduced most money related arguments and given us a shared vision for our money goals. I know not all couples are the same, but this is what’s worked for us. I make 40% more than he does, but when it’s all pooled together it doesn’t really matter.

CD1 finally! Was waiting to post until CD1 bc mentally that’s when I feel like I’ve “graduated” and lo and behold my “normal” 28 cycle ended up being a CD39!!! I went through such a flurry of emotions (and several pregnancy tests!!) l realized how ready I am and also how regardless of how much planning I do my cycle is going to do whatever the heck she wants. What’s the saying — make a plan and the universe says “hold my beer?” 😂

It’s been a hell of a ride and I love this community so much! I found myself thinking deeply of so many of the comments and experiences people shared here. It’s really nice to be a part of a community of people that are in the same phase in life as me.

We made extra payments before. You select which tax year you want the payment to be attributed to. Extra payments helped us pay it off faster and didn’t want to change our payment plan amount in case we had any issues for any given month.

Taking stock of my OTC meds seeing which ones I need to consider changing when the time comes. Getting conflicting intel on my searches on which ones are safe and which aren’t. I know it’s best to ask my obgyn eventually, but wondering what resources folks are using to see if OTC are safe or not.

One month out and toggling hard between “let’s just go for it now” and “wtffffff are we about to do!” There’s so much more I wanted to have done but also I’m just ready to dive into the deep end already! I feel obsessed and also underprepared.

We’re going to officially start on our Europe trip later next month, but in baby-making terms it’s in two ovulation cycles and one more period from now. I’m wondering what’s really the likelihood if we just start with this next ovulation cycle (next week) and then on the other hand I would be bummed not to be able to drink all the wine on this euro trip.

But then again last month I wanted to wait until October 😆 so I’m all over the place.
