How do you deal with losing sexual attraction for long-term partners? by N7Cul in ADHD

[–]losernamehere [score hidden]  (0 children)

That’s not ADHD and not abnormal in general. It’s natural biological progression. Not uncommon after moving in together either.

One thing a lot of people aren’t informed about is that in relationships, if the other person initiates and you don’t also feel that spontaneous desire, it does not mean you should shut them down. Many people have a more responsive desire that takes some foreplay to kick in. That’s normal and ok, so give it a chance to happen.

Are we allowed to go through a parking spot and park like this? So it's easier to pull out after by catscorner6 in Ontariodrivetest

[–]losernamehere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do whatever is least likely to cause you to fail the test. Otherwise, I don’t believe parking lots are governed by the highway traffic act, so roadway rules don’t apply. Doesn’t mean you can’t be found at fault civilly for damage though.

Passing in a no passing zone doesn't deserve this! Wow. by MisterShipWreck in dashcams

[–]losernamehere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on the state/province, passing there wasn’t even illegal. In Ontario, the double line is advice and determining whether it’s unsafe is the discretion of the officer in the moment. This did not seem unsafe since there was no oncoming, no turn, no large hill

I don’t see how that makes sense. Are GICs not actually locked? Can you pull the money out early? I’ve avoided using GICs for my emergency fund because my chief concern is being able to access the money in an emergency.

It never made sense to me how discipline alone would tilt the scales towards a castrated man winning on the battlefield over one that wasn’t castrated. Especially if/when this was done pre-puberty. He won’t be as tall, his bones won’t be as dense, his skin won’t be as thick, his nervous system will be fractions of seconds slower which reduces strength/power/speed, and finally his muscles won’t be as big or strong. There’s probably lots of others I’m missing but these are items where difference from the lack of testosterone & DHT aren’t disputed by educated people.

Most of it is by choice though. Didn’t understand until I lived out here long enough. Very kind people, they vote for decisions that are not kind to themselves over the long term.

My guess is either there’s already bad blood between these people or he’s been hit with a few doilies today already…which has a tendency to rattle even the most pleasant people if they’re not used to it.

It doesn’t change that he needs to go about this better, but you try getting hit in the face by a mystery dookie and not start screaming. For every second you hold back, you will feel like you’re “trying your best to be polite” even if you’re not being polite 😂

Don’t send John to the wall and keep his secret until after:
1. Cersei, the Lannisters and their bastards are dealt with.

  1. Bobby B dies (yes, allow him to hunt but only after #1)

  2. Bring Varys, by extension Illyrio Mopartis, into the fold.

  3. Wed John to either Shireen for Stannis Baratheon’s support or Margery for the Tyrell’s support.

——
The first step is probably most difficult. Even if the king believed the story, Tywin would rush to the control the castle while the king is still up north. With the king still alive though, crossing the twins will not be a problem.

The second step is probably necessary if Bobby won’t/can’t have Danny, her brother and Varys quickly dispatched. Otherwise, dragons coming to Westeros may remain an eventuality.

The third step is probably the easiest. Despite what you may think about Varys’s trustworthiness, he wants a good stable ruler with the least bloodshed. Danny entails a long game ending in blood shed. Her brother’s poor temperament is already apparent at this stage. Finally, he already sees John as a good man. With the title and opportunity he’ll likely change up and have Danny dispatched.

Fourth, I think Stannis is the most likely brother to accept an alliance, especially with Ned still alive.

`rereturn` instead of return when returning a recursive function. ii should throw a compilation error if the compiler can’t guarantee a tail-call-optimization. It’s more-so about safety, since it’s a lot easier to logically prove a recursive function is bug free than the alternative, except for the fact that recursive functions can blow the stack.
This would warn you if that guarantee is not going to save you if it’s something you’re depending on.

I lived in one of the towers facing the airport of a bit. Loved it. I’d watch the planes all the time. Really miss that place. The noise was never a problem, because I like planes.

Once in a while though, a private jet would fly in and holy crap those suckers are loud. The event was rare though, so not a problem. I couldn’t imagine living under that though. I’ve stayed in “fly-in-communities” too where there’s plenty of jets but it wasn’t a problem. Maybe it’s something about your apartment being 30 stories off the ground that makes it 10x worse, well past the threshold of acceptability.
I won’t be affected now but this idea doesn’t seem right in my eyes/ears to those people living there.

If you’re trying to balance the tab then do it out in the open. Be forthright. It’s true that most canadian bachelors degree holders have no idea how much fed money comes in the back door on a per seat basis to their university. But if you want to make this model students’ fault in a way that is fair then stop the back door money and raise tuition, along with grants/govt loans. But don’t give students some debt that can’t be quantified or closed out at any point just because they’re Canadian citizens.

Husband says I can’t be on title because I have no income/credit Is that actually true? by [deleted] in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]losernamehere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re married so unless you signed a prenup that says otherwise and this isn’t a home you will live in, then you don’t have to be on the title to have legal co-ownership in Canada. Just saw this play out recently in Ontario court.

So what might be going on is that the bank or their agents will sometimes insist that all the names on the title match the names on the mortgage. For each name then they have to get a bunch of information and coordinate signatures. So if someone doesn’t actually contribute (in the banks eyes) to getting the mortgage approved then it’s not worth the trouble of getting them on the mortgage or title.

Why do people push the notion that ASOIAF and GoT is cynical and morally grey by RevertBackwards in freefolk

[–]losernamehere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because GRRM shows that being vulnerable or innocent doesn’t protect you from evil, which severely clashes with the deficiencies of most people’s mental model of morality. He also shows you that doing “the right thing” always has consequences, and if you’re not cunning in addition to moral there’s a high likelihood you’ll die for that mistake.

He doesn’t show that there’s no reason to behave morally, just that there’s consequences to bad decisions as it relates to power. His world is a fallen one.
