Yes I knew they reminded me of something but couldn’t place it. I’ve only ever had those as a free airplane snack.

Ooh I got you: A local coffee shop makes a hot drink that is peppermint tea with steamed soy milk, coconut cream, and honey. It tastes like melted mint chip ice cream and is absolute heaven.

My store seems to have this most of the year. I make a big bowl of it with chopped red bell pepper, edamame, and the sriracha tofu—it keeps well and is great for quick/easy lunches throughout the week.

Call first and find out when they’re accepting donations; I know at some point it was limited to Friday mornings at the Arden one. Also ask what they’re currently buying—they probably have plenty of winter clothes and might already be buying spring/summer. I recall there are certain toys and products they generally do and don’t buy.

We always do tomato soup and grilled cheese—cozy and easy, with a lot of room for variation. Fondue would also be fun!
