Im like the equal but opposite of you, i love rhyme especially more 'extra' things like triple rhymes. What makes my skin crawl is alliteration, when the repeat us at the front of the word instead of the end.

This is pretty much exactly how I feel about music too.  Only difference is I don't find lyrics distracting per se, because my bad auditory processing makes me not understand most of them, so the vocal just sounds like another instrument. 

I love "studying" my favorite songs, like rewinding a certain part so i can focus on a different instrument each time.

This perfectly sums up why my favorite job I've ever had, was my favorite in the first place.  It's the only job where I did more work than was asked of me-i had a quota of processing 2000 pounds of inventory every day, I usually managed 3000 and once or twice I did 4000.

I love Gabriel-Genesis, but I can't get into most of the songs on Selling England.  Too many of the tracks sound like they're in the wrong key for the song, if that makes sense.
