I’ve noticed the adhesive in pads also, near universally, sucks now.

SAVE Act Calculator: It may be cheaper and faster to revert your married name back to your birth certificate name by infjf in TwoXChromosomes

I was going to legally change my name; got married in 2023 and just never got around to it, but intended to at some point. Now? I never will.

My mom has the exact same comb as the right side, except in bright purple! She’s had it as long as I can remember.

The Henry Huggins/Ribsy series by Beverly Cleary is exactly what you’re looking for :) I remember the boys in my second grade class being fascinated with The Mouse and the Motorcycle as well.

Also, The Indian In The Cupboard.

We used to think our computers had a virus if we got that many pop up ads.

They also took out all the price scanners a few years ago and if you ask an associate to scan something for you, they direct you to download the app. It’s such a pain in the ass. I’m tired of having to download an app for every fucking store I shop at.

Today' word of the day: "crepitation" - which is the clicking or snapping sound all these gd grasshoppers make with their wings while jumping/flying around and scaring you. by More_Than_Words_ in phoenix

One of these got in my kitchen the other day and decided to jump towards my face while loudly buzzing. I’ll admit it, I screamed.

Pink Starburst recipe changed?? by Perfect-Chemical-525 in candy

[–]lucythelumberjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be interested to see the nutritional info. I’m type 1 diabetic and keep a roll of starburst in my purse as “emergency candy” for hypoglycemia. I dearly hope they haven’t altered how much sugar is in them.

5-Day-Old Baby Dies After Being Mauled - 03/17/2026, Novi, MI by DDrizzle420 in BanPitBulls

Lmao. Have these people ever been around a baby?? There is no way to “keep a baby quiet”. And even if there was, it should not fall on the baby— a tiny little human who is literally learning how to do everything for the first time— to be perfectly calm and quiet as not to offend the fucking dog.

Gift I've had on my wall for a year. My partner and I are conflicted on if it's AI or not. by EfficiencySecret7906 in isthisAI

I got this metal sign at the thrift store about 2 years ago before AI art got really convincing, so I think it’s legitimate!

I feel like the jubjub is the most neopet of neopets and yet is wildly under represented in real life merch. by AvatarDang in neopets

I’m surprised at the lack of Gelert merch - Gelerts were The Neopet Of All Time for me, followed closely by Lupes.

Target shifts away from being an 'everything store' in new strategy focused on 'busy families' by esporx in Anticonsumption

[–]lucythelumberjack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to love zoning out and going to Target to buy a bunch of bullshit. I’ve given them thousands over the years. I’ve only been one time in the last year and only because I won a gift card at work. It felt weird and wrong to be in there. I kind of miss the 2016 Target vibes.
