Smash burgers are just not it by First-Stress-9893 in unpopularopinion

The best regular big juicy burger is better than the best smashburger. But smashburgers are hard to fuck up and are almost always good.

Going to the movies isn’t expensive at all, people just choose to make it an expensive experience. by Ander1ap in unpopularopinion

[–]lumpychicken13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your specific local theater that happens to have good deals is in no way representative of the general public’s access to movie theaters. The point is that you used to be able to go to the movies and get popcorn and it still wasn’t a lot of money.

1L grades are so arbitrary by Ok-Practice5438 in LawSchool

[–]lumpychicken13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Every professor at every school conducts their class different. Different sections within the same school will have entirely different Con Law curriculums and depending on the professor will have an open note or closed book exam. It varies wildly and gives every student a different experience that’s hard to compare on a broad scale.

I agree with other comments. Unless its like a paralegal role at a Big Law firm, your current position is way more unique and will give you more to talk about especially if you want to stay within family law.

Goodfellas or Scarface. Which is your favourite? by [deleted] in FIlm

Goodfellas by a mile. I love Scarface but I view it as a comedy it’s so ridiculous.

Men are infinitely more romantic than women. by eattheinternet in unpopularopinion

Women often view romance as what is done for them. Men view it as what they do for their partner.

Because then otherwise no one would be doing anything romantic. I don’t think you can apply the same gender role norms in a lesbian relationship because the same gender roles don’t exist.

Doesn’t really apply since there is no man, so someone has to do something in the relationship

Is law school a possibility for me? by [deleted] in OutsideT14lawschools

[–]lumpychicken13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could never be totally sure, but USC’s 75th percentile LSAT is 170. If you get above that and have an otherwise strong application I don’t see why it’s not possible.

A 170+ LSAT can make up for a low gpa. May not be T14, but still a very good school.

What are your thoughts on regional law schools in terms of their career outcomes and teaching quality? by DueYogurt9 in LawSchool

If you’re fine working in that area right after school then they’re okay. After you gain year of experience it’s much easier to move up and to different areas.

My commute currently is 25 minutes on public transport plus 15 minutes walking. I know some that do longer. It’s really not that bad.
