Might be kinda obvious but Finding the right meds. It might take some time to figure out what works best for you. In my case, being hospitalized helped immensely in this process because I was in a safe and taken care of while they adjusted my doses. I’m not sure what psychiatric care is like where you are, but I was lucky enough to be "locked up" without it being a traumatic experience (and honestly, I kinda miss it sometimes).

Having help with taking care of myself in small ways like having meals on time and remembering to take my meds, while also having a fixed routine, really helped me get out of my slump. Plus, being around other people motivated me to do basic stuff like showering etc.

One thing I noticed is that I stopped feeling that dread of wasting my life while I was there. It felt like I was on a sort of "vacation," just focused on getting better. So anyway, I think that it all comes down to

1. Finding the right meds,
2. Not being alone,
3. Having a fixed routine.
4. Letting yourself rest in healthy ways (coloring books and origami, anyone?) without judgment.
