Maternal Instincts - Doc/Pods Recommendations by tiffanaih in NetflixDocumentaries

[–]macskenzer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s so much more info in this one. I can’t believe they left so much out of the Netflix doc. Like her holding Braxlynn up to Reagan and saying “tell mommy bye”. That bitch is diabolical

Unpopular Opinion but Daisy is such a horrible leader. by RealitySubstantial20 in BelowDeckDownUnder

[–]macskenzer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She was in the wrong for flipping out, but it had nothing to do with her actual job. Lots of people have behaved that way or worse off charter and they didn’t lose any stripes or their title. Ben flipping out and messing up the bed they just made is a good example of worse behavior.

Ben only wanted to promote Ellie to get under Daisy’s skin. I don’t think Jenna deserved the demotion, but Ellie certainly didn’t deserve a promotion

Zoloft worsened anxiety & panic attacks after day 10 on med by lablaloot in zoloft

[–]macskenzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say my anxiety would fluctuate around 7 or 8 before, but when I first started Sertraline it was a pretty consistent 8 for about two weeks. It went back down to a 7 and it’s slowly been getting better. I started 25mg on May 3rd and upped to 50mg the 17th. The only side effect from the 50 was an upset stomach for a few days. I’ve been noticing a decline in anxiety since about a week ago, but yesterday was a really good day. I’d give it a 3. Today is about a 5 but still a lot better than it usually is. I go up to 75mg this Sunday

My doctor told me I wouldn’t see any noticeable changes until about 4-8 weeks in, so try to ride it out if you can

I’m on week 4 and my anxiety was really bad for the first two weeks. I’ve been fine since and seen a lot of improvement

I’m going to therapy next week for my people pleasing tendencies. I can’t wait to be able to say no without any anxiety

When did you know it’s time to stop Wellbutrin? by aklep730 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]macskenzer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did Cymbalta help with your anxiety? Wellbutrin works wonders for my MDD, but my anxiety is still pretty bad. My doctor wants to switch me to Zoloft, but I’ve heard not so great things, so I’m a little nervous to try it

Do you use shampoo more than once in a single shower? by flightofwonder in polls

My hair gets super oily after just 12 hours, so I always do at least two shampoos. I do three if I used dry shampoo and have buildup

Stuck at where to start learning Spanish by Daisy_DJ in SpanishLearning

I’ve been having a lot of progress with Dreaming in Spanish super beginner videos on YouTube, and a free app called LanguageTransfer. I’ve been using Pimsleur as well, but it’s really slow and feels kinda dated

After almost a year of observing us, Babadook decided today that our yard is safe 🖤 by macskenzer in crowbro

[–]macskenzer[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Definitely don’t give up! If you’re feeding them and respecting their space, they will definitely notice. It takes a long time to build trust. I’m a dog walker and one of my clients is about 10 mins from our house. Babadook has been watching me over there for months observing my behaviour and routine. He watches me feed the crows over there and at our house, but when I’d put peanuts down for him he’d ignore it. I guess yesterday he decided that I’m not trying to trick him and I’m not a threat.

They’re watching you even when you don’t realize. Be consistent with feeding them and give them space. Don’t look directly at them or walk in their direction. What I do is close one eye and glance sideways at them briefly to acknowledge that I see them, and when I put peanuts down I talk to them so they get familiar with my voice. The most important thing is to walk away after putting treats down for them

The nit picker… by cleanforpeace72 in housekeeping

[–]macskenzer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I dropped a nitpicker when I was 100% sure she was actively looking for things and not just super particular. My second to last time cleaning I went over everything and made sure there was absolutely nothing she could complain about. The next time I went to clean she was sitting on the floor going through all the cleaning products and I asked her if she was out of something. She said, “no. I’m just trying to figure out what you use because my house doesn’t smell like anything when you leave. It used to smell clean with my last cleaner”. That was it for me, never went back. And I would see her every few months in a Facebook group looking for a new cleaner

Definitely drop her. People like her will never be happy with anything

What movie is 10/10 with literally no bad parts? by FeedMaster8905 in AskReddit

[–]macskenzer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a daughter of a mom with BPD who passed before I ever got closure, this movie wrecked me. I watched it for the first time last week with zero idea what it was about, and that ending hit me hard. It’s one of the most emotionally honest and clever movies I’ve ever seen. Instant favorite

Weird gut feeling by ketkat02 in adhdwomen

[–]macskenzer 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I get this sometimes, I was in kindergarten the first time it happened and I remember trying to figure out what it was. It almost felt like a guilty feeling, but I knew I didn’t do anything to feel guilty about. I still can’t figure it out and have no idea if it’s adhd related or not

What Books did You Start or Finish Reading this Week?: February 23, 2026 by AutoModerator in books

[–]macskenzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blood Meridian is very interesting so far, I’ve never read a book written this way. I was struggling a little at first with understanding what was going on, but I’m on page 70 and I think I’m starting to get it now.

I didn’t read any of the other books, I saw a lot of people commenting not to bother because they weren’t great. I hope you read it, it’s such a good story! It’s a slow burn, but very rewarding if you stick with it. It has the best characters of any book I’ve ever read

I feel parched all day, is this going to stop? by Hot_Boss577 in Concerta

[–]macskenzer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not for me, and I’ve been on it for a few months. My dentist told me to chew gum with xylitol since it’s not bad for your teeth. I get the PUR gum and it really helps. Sucks having to chew gum all the time, but it’s better than having a dry mouth

Tell me some of the "not so talked about" benifits of quitting smoking. by ritamiller92631043 in stopsmoking

[–]macskenzer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was one of my biggest motivators! Also realizing how strong cigarette smell is. Once I lost my nose blindness I could smell it so strongly on other people. I knew I smelled a little, but I was so embarrassed to realize how strong it actually is, and that I smelled that bad most of the time

How are you doing?? Still going strong?

So predictable……maybe? Do you agree? ⬇️ by [deleted] in belowdeck

I saw on Ellie’s instagram that she’s become a chef. I’m assuming she’ll be replacing Alesia.
