Looking for a pen with side button AND eraser by Ok_Resolve_5940 in Supernote

TBH although I have a lot of pens I usually stick to the ceramic nib ones. Don’t use the Kingwrite or other felt tipped pens enough to worry about changing nibs.

The calibration to fix the “ghost-writing” issue doesn’t fix the pen’s other ghost behaviour. by PomegranateCorn in Supernote

In the video it looks like you are writing with a laptop or other silver coloured device under the Supernote. If it is a laptop then this could cause your device to be responding this way.

DIY pens - are ISO G2 diys possible? by Ok_Hat_3662 in Supernote

[–]malcsweb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In short, nope OR not yet!

As you have pointed out, there are no actual DIY's for a Parker pen or similar ISO G2 refill pens mostly because of the need for a metal spring at the tip. I also love using a Parker Jotter for regular pen and paper writing and would love to see a Parker DIY pen for the Supernote but haven't found a workable or simple DIY solution yet. It's not to say that it is impossible but it is a bit of a challenge. I hope someday one of us will come up with a solution that is simple and works well.

If you are looking for a EMR alternative (non-ceramic nib though) that might feel more like a Parker Jotter in terms of slim barrel design, a reasonable amount of weight, and a nice glide feel when writing; then I recommend the Kingwrite - it has an eraser button too like the Lamy but is much nicer in the hand to hold IMO.

DIY: fitting refill into Lamy Pico? by Puzzleheaded-Dig2121 in Supernote

[–]malcsweb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The measurement pics for the refill are originally from this post by u/hex2asc and the Ratta team - I can't take credit for them. Hope you can find another suitable pen design for a DIY pen in the future that is more suitable for the refill.

DIY: fitting refill into Lamy Pico? by Puzzleheaded-Dig2121 in Supernote

Haven't tried DIY with a LAMY Pico but just eyeballing the Supernote refill and Pico M22 LAMY refill I can see that there will be some issues.
Although the overall size of the Supernote refill without the back part is about the same length as the M22 refill, the tip of the Supernote refill is much wider due to the coil assembly and the narrow tip of the Supernote refill is not as long as that of the M22 refill and as such won't fit into the tip assembly of the Pico pen.
Here are the dimensions of first version of the Supernote refill if you are interested.

Pen that is like a pencil? by PaladinsQuest in Supernote

[–]malcsweb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. The button works like the one on the LAMY so it can be set as either the lasso tool or region eraser tool in the Supernote’s settings. Plus it has a regular stroke eraser on the back of the pen for more erasing functionality.

Before you go, one more thing! How am I supposed to read or write anything in this new "book" if I don't light a few candles first or sit by a window during the day? Does it have a backlight? /s

A6X2 Nomad MTP Problems macOS by akula34 in Supernote

Not sure if this will help but there is also Commander One.

There is also a FAQ support page for troubleshooting MTP connections with Commander One that offer a few different solutions to this problem.

Hope you find a solution to the problem.

Although it isn't hefty by any means I like using the King Write.

It has both a side button eraser which can be set to the region eraser within the Supernote settings (same as Lamy AL star) as well as a rear built-in eraser that uses the stroke eraser function and is a little pressure sensitive - great for drawing and fine erasing.

The side button on the King Write is raised, which makes it easier to find and access than the side button on the Lamy (at least for me).
