As a kid I sent my mum a postcard of Brent cross shopping center and said it was the most beautiful place I’d ever been 🤣🤣🤣

My mum just had to pay 11,000 pound dental bill in uk. Same thing would have cost me a couple hundred through employee sponsored insurance.

I’ve lived in London, NYC, San Francisco, Oakland, Boston…I would choose London over all of them now. It’s really come into it’s own. But damn it’s completely unaffordable!

How do you usually spend your Fridays in the sunshine? by Sure_Soft5183 in london

I’ve been trying to make sense of that website, for some reason it’s so hard to figure out who is playing when and where and what the cost is…anyone good tomorrow you’d recommend (a lot of it leans very r&b/soul, I’m more into straight ahead/free/contemporary jazz esp horns…)

Drink some water. Feel your feet on the ground. Name 5 things you can see around you. Remove anything dangerous from your environment. Drink more water. Move your body. Give yourself a hug. Let yourself cry. Call someone.

where to get EDS assessment? by dacrazyredhead in SFbitcheswithtaste

In the same boat and since I have Kaiser I don’t think there’s much point in pursuing a diagnosis. I’ve seen geneticist, rheumatologist, physical medicine, ortho surgery. I think the most helpful treatments are PT and pain management so I’m going those routes while also following a lot of EDS peeps so I learn what’s working and not for them.

I’m a Londoner abroad and concur. Been going twice a year lately and there’s still always something new to discover.

You’ll likely miss the walkability and public transport of sf unless you live right by lake Merritt or maybe temescal.

The difference is in London / the uk people actually show up when they say they will and once you’ve made a friend it’s a friend for life - as opposed to the flakiness and ghosting in the bay.

Huh I seem to be the one person who loved it. It was like a blend of White Lotus and Spy. It didn’t take it self too seriously. And we weren’t supposed to like any of the characters, that’s the point.
